Title: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 11
Post by StegRock on Nov 17th, 2003, 1:50pm
Here is another one of our fun participatory threads here in "the Red Zone" (to go along with our "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week").  It is called "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week".  Here, you are to list your key player(s) for the week, the one or ones that were key to your victory(ies).  I really think we can have some fun with this! [smiley=dancin.gif] You can expect this to be up every Monday/Tuesday from here on out!

Money League:
I'm 9-2 (which is now tied for the best overall record), first in my division, and first in total points.  This week the props go to Trent Green, whose 300+ passing yards and 2 TDs were a very nice complement to Shannon Sharpe, who threw up a C-note receiving and added 3 TDs to the fray.

GBRFL2:
The team is coming up smaller and smaller each week.  This week the only solid effort belonged to Peyton Manning, who, even without Marvin Harrison, managed to throw for 400 yards.

KJ's Yahoo League:
Daunte Culpepper was the only player to put up double-digit numbers (21) on the team.  :-[

CBFL:
I guess this one has to go to Daunte Culpepper as well.  Pretty quiet week for me will probably drop me in the standings.

[smiley=dancin.gif] Movin' to 13 - 6 and back in 1st place in the GBRFL (http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/gbrfl/)! [smiley=dancin.gif]

Could it be back-to-back Championships for the Stegmeister? [smiley=hmmmm.gif]

Anyway, given these recent developments, game balls are abound this week...

QB - Kelly Holcomb [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] and Tim Rattay [smiley=footballsmiley.gif]

RB - Warrick Dunn [smiley=footballsmiley.gif]

RC - Terrell Owens [smiley=footballsmiley.gif]

And,...  Hows 'bout that little post-game interview and horse-trailer love for both my boyz Terrell and Tim? [smiley=whistle.gif]

$$$ league - We had our 1st tie of the season.  Now 9-1-1 holding on to a 2 game lead of 1st place with just 4 games remaining b4 the playoffs.  MVP for week 11 goes to Shaun Alexander.  Having 2 studs & being able to only start 1 makes for a tough call each & every week.  LT was benched & thankfully it was the right call.

yahoo league - Lost in a tight battle.  2nd loss in a row.  I'm now 7-4 & in a 5 way tie for 1st place.  Easily the most competitive league I have ever been in.  MVP goes to Kelly Holcombe.  Outstanding job filling in for the injured Jeff Garcia.  Hopefully the Niners stick with their word that Garcia will not loose his job to Rattay.  Otherwise I could be depending on Holcombe in the playoffs.

Man....tough call for MVP this week.

Torry Holt again steps up with a  huge game.  But, I thing the game ball has to go to Deuce McAllister with 174 yards rushing, 59 receiving, AND 2 TD.
