Title: Gotta ask, Bulger or Pennington??? Post by Callie on Nov 21st, 2003, 6:34pm Bulger against ARI and saving his job? Will they go way ahead and do ball control? Will there be a Warner siting? Pennington against a weak pass D and a stronger run D? Will Fred Taylor be healthy enough to even play against the Jets' bad run D and rack up points that have to be answered? This one is probably even more important to my looking good playoff runs than my RB2 woes! Got any ideas? |

Title: Re: Gotta ask, Bulger or Pennington??? Post by StegRock on Nov 21st, 2003, 6:39pm I would go with whoever against Arizona. So, my answer is Bulger. He is due for a BIGGIE. That having been said, Pennington is a decent play this week, too. You have two good options there, but I would choose Bulger by a nose. |

Title: Re: Gotta ask, Bulger or Pennington??? Post by Walker Boh on Nov 21st, 2003, 8:01pm Another vote for Bulger. This game should be over at halftime, but Martz will let them pour it on so Bulger gets back in the groove. I'd be excited if I were you! [smiley=lickinmychops.gif] Good luck [smiley=thumbsup.gif] |

Title: Re: Gotta ask, Bulger or Pennington??? Post by Philly on Nov 22nd, 2003, 10:56am I think Bulger is the better play of the two this week. You probably are safe with Pennington too, but Bulger is due to get back on track. |

Title: Re: Gotta ask, Bulger or Pennington??? Post by Callie on Nov 23rd, 2003, 7:39pm In case anyone wonders, I took a chance on Pennington in a possible shoot out. I thought they might be equal, but I was afraid Bulger would get ahead and go to ground control. Meanwhile, M. Hasselbeck sat on my bench in ALL of my leagues through ALL FIVE TDs! Oh, well. Split the middle on that one. |

OUCH!!! 5 TD's on the bench. I would say you came in a little less than the middle. Percentage wise you probably came in the bottom third. But don't sweat it, in one league I made the smart decision to pick up Holcomb and start him. [smiley=dunce.gif] |

Title: Re: Gotta ask, Bulger or Pennington??? Post by Callie on Nov 23rd, 2003, 8:25pm I started James Jackson (wanted to sit Rudi-would have started him if I didn't think this was a better option) in a couple of leagues. Just wasn't their day. But I'm still glad I own Jackson here and there. This is what the Guru report said going into that game: "Kelly Holcomb (QB, Cle); We all know about Holcomb's huge game against the Steelers last year in the playoffs (429 yards and 3 TDs) and we all know Holcomb went off last week, which all looks good. But let's not forget that Tim Couch played a near perfect game against this defense earlier in the season. These are strong trends. Holcomb's now healthy and his line is healthy, which is huge for him. He should be able to spread the Steelers out and attack their vulnerable secondary. There is no way their corners can contain the explosive Brown WRs, so look for all trends listed above to continue this week against a Steeler secondary that is giving up a whopping 274 yards and 1.6 TDs to opposing QBs the last six weeks." It made sense to a lot of people. Just like Chad made sense to me.... :) |
