Title: Some might call me crazy but...... Post by FatJake on Nov 22nd, 2003, 2:27pm I am benching DJax, JSmith, & Moulds and putting Az Hakim(vs Minny) & Jurevicius(vs NYG on MNF). I need to win out in this particular league so I have to take some risks.......Will I regret it? |

Title: Re: Some might call me crazy but...... Post by Coachnorm on Nov 22nd, 2003, 3:25pm Hmmmmm....... not so crazy. Moulds sounds like he will play but doesn't really sound up to par.and Bledsoe struggles. Jimmy Smith has been doing ok but not great. I think his #'s will get better as KJ comes in and establishes himself as a good #2 but this is a little early for that impact to be felt. Djax has had a difficult time, not a good matchup, and the seahawks have been playing down to their opponetts level. While Hakim and JJ may not be the most exciting pair of starters to come down the pike, they may indeed be the best choices this week. |

Title: Re: Some might call me crazy but...... Post by Callie on Nov 22nd, 2003, 5:11pm I'd LOVE to hear any opinions about Jurevicius! I grabbed him in all my leagues on spec as soon as I heard he might come back. Do you think he's ready to do something this week? I've got a dicey situation wth Harrison and Branch injuries. Would ya start him or would you wait? |

Title: Re: Some might call me crazy but...... Post by FatJake on Nov 22nd, 2003, 6:36pm Jurevicius is getting a lot of hype this week in the Fantasy Football world. He already was a red-zone target (6'5")for TB prior to his injury. Now the clear cut starter, he should be on the field at all times when TB has the ball. One would think Gruden may want to show the football world they don't need Keyshawn so I would think JJ will get several looks. TB has trouble running the ball and the Giants are tough to run on and their 2ndary has been suspect at times, meaning lot's of passes being thrown by BJ. Now that McCardell is the #1 he should draw the most attention by the Giants 2ndary. Not to mention this is a MNF game against his former team. This is my logic in starting him this week. It's a risk, but I like his chances.... |

Title: Re: Some might call me crazy but...... Post by Callie on Nov 22nd, 2003, 6:50pm VERY GOOD LOGIC! I'm agreeing with you and starting Joe in two of my leagues. In the only other league I have him, I have to start Chad Johnson, Randy Moss and Santana Moss. Gotta do it. But I'm looking forward to seeing what Joe can do. You're right, Chuckie's ego and MNF are BIG factors. |

Title: Re: Some might call me crazy but...... Post by StegRock on Nov 23rd, 2003, 12:52pm Interesting moves, FatJake! This is VERY last-minute, so I am going to keep it short. I too like the rationale behind playing Jurevicius. HOWEVER, I would keep Jimmy Smith in your lineup over Az-Zahir Hakim. I just think, otherwise, you are rolling a REALLY BIG pair of dice. [smiley=shrug.gif] Good luck, at any rate! |

Title: Re: Some might call me crazy but...... Post by #1 Steelers Fan on Nov 24th, 2003, 10:23am I think that Joe Jurevicius is extremely under rated as a player. He made big catches at times when he came in the game as the third guy. I can't wait to see what he can do as a starter. He is big and will pose a match-up problem against most corners. Should be interesting to say the least though. |
