Title: What has happened to Toomer? Post by DC_Disaster on Nov 25th, 2003, 2:52pm I thought I had a good WR when I drafted Toomer. Is he just having a down year or is it Collins fault. Toomer has to sit unless another of my WRs goes down. Anyone else feel this way? ?.?.? |

Title: Re: What has happened to Toomer? Post by #1 Steelers Fan on Nov 25th, 2003, 3:19pm Toomer is struggling this season. He is a good player though but because the Giants Offense is not to good his numbers have declined. Toomer is not a classic burner, but he has very good speed for his size and can get downfield and make big plays, especially against smaller corners. He usually has good hands, but he has had a lot of drops this season. Two of them in the end zone against the Vikings. He is much improved as a route runner compared to earlier in his career, especially on the quick slants that are a big part of the Giants offense, especially this year with a shaky line and a lot of three-step drops. The Giants' offensive line troubles have kept Toomer from having enough time to get open, and the absence of Jeremy Shockey totally changes how defenses will attack the Giants. |

Title: Re: What has happened to Toomer? Post by Tony_O on Nov 25th, 2003, 4:46pm He dropped two balls that could have been TD's last night against the bucs too. The first was actually in the end zone, he took a hit that knocked his helmet off and he dropped the rock. The second was a post pattern and he was wide open in the middle of the field. Collins hit him in stride, the ball was a little high but it hit him in both hands. He must make those catches to help his struggling team to win. |

I've always said that Toomer was overrated and that Hilliard was the better of the two. I've seen just to many dropped passes from Toomer, easy ones at that, over the past few seasons. That's why I consider him overrated especially when he's in the top 15 on many people's lists. Don't get me wrong, he's a solid WR, but not a dependable one, and all to often you will find Toomer on a non-championship fantasy roster. |

Title: Re: What has happened to Toomer? Post by DC_Disaster on Nov 26th, 2003, 7:57am Who out of this list should start? Rank these 4 WR if you please. Is Toomer better than 4th on the list? This is the way I see it. Harrison vs NE Mason vs NYJ( if McNair plays) Warrick vs PIT Toomer vs BUF Streets vs BAL J. Carter vs TEN Calico vs NYJ |
