Title: Patriots ~ Week 16 Analysis
Post by bakes781 on Dec 19th, 2003, 11:58am
Another Marshall University QB for Belichick & the Patriots D to chew on.  These long time rivals have had some great battles.  I'm not a big fan of Penny's game.  However, much like Brady it may not look pretty but he gets the job done.  He & Santana have developed a great connection with each other.  The critics(me included) who thought this offense would suffer after the loss of Coles have been proven otherwise.  Martin former Patriot is still going strong.  On defense the loss of Abraham has not dampened the pass rush for NY.  The emergence of Shaun Ellis has been a big reason why they have not lost a step.  Last week the Patriots offense had one of it's best games all year.  Defensively they have been outstanding each week.  The Pro Bowl selections were announced yesterday.  Only Ty Law & Richard Seymour will be representing the AFC's #1 team in Hawaii. [smiley=furious.gif] Hopefully this slight will somehow motivate those that didn't make it to take out their anger on their next opponent.  Guys like Bruschi & Harrison should be especially pumped up.

Anthony Becht ~ 30 yards receiving
Doug Brien ~ 0 FGs & 4 PATs

As you can see, I have a BAD feeling about this game.  I just think the Patriots are in for a wake up call on Saturday night in the Big Apple.

gotta respect those "bad feeling" games.  I had one going into last week vs the Bears.  Didn't expect a loss, but expected a pretty close game.   [smiley=fumin.gif]

I totally agree on the Harrison 4 ProBowl sentiment.  How does Jerome Woods make it over Harrison?  Granted, Woods has more INTs and 2 went for TDs.  But Harrison is off the charts for tackles this year compared to Woods.  He's a much better FS IMHO.

I had a "bad feeling" about the Niners this week.  Unfortunately I was right.

Fortunately for you, your fears were unfounded as NE continues to roll.  Gotta love that defense.  Congrats.
