Title: Re: Bears Offseason Report Post by BarnabyWilde on Mar 3rd, 2004, 11:57am The Tampa Tribune reports free-agent RB Thomas Jones, projected to be the Bucs' feature back after he put together a strong finish to the 2003 season, agreed to contract terms with the Chicago Bears early this morning. Terms of the deal were not immediately available http://www.ffmastermind.com/bits/hot.shtml From the REAL FEED: http://bucs.tbo.com/bucs/MGAFWCDGDRD.html This tidbit is also from one of the Chicago papers, no story yet: Two Chicago sports talk stations -- WMVP and WSCR -- were reporting Wednesday morning that the Bears had signed free agent running back Thomas Jones and free agent quarterback Jonathan Quinn. |

Title: Re: Bears Offseason Report Post by Callie on Jul 28th, 2004, 10:41pm So I guess this is the type of thing that gets the Bears Offseason Report back on page one (KFFL): "Bears' Urlacher Injured; Set to Undergo an MRI Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports Chicago Bears LB Brian Urlacher (hamstring) was forced to leave practice Wednesday, July 28, after suffering a hamstring injury. He walked under his own power to a cart and then was driven off the field. He's set to undergo an MRI Thursday, July 29. 'He got a pretty good pull,' said general manager Jerry Angelo. 'We'll know more (Thursday). (I'm) not really optimistic that it's going to be something that's going to be a few days. (It will be) probably a little longer than that. We'll see for sure (Thursday).'" Here's the Bears' site link: http://www.chicagobears.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=2515 |

Title: Re: Bears Offseason Report Post by Philly on Aug 23rd, 2004, 6:44am The fact that the Bears were willing to trade their top WR from a perceived area of weakness instead of their #2 RB from an area of perceived strength is intriguing... Could it be that Lovie isn't as sure that Thomas Jones can carry the load as he is letting on? |

Title: Re: Bears Offseason Report Post by GOLF_FREAK on Aug 28th, 2004, 8:08am NO WAY, THOMAS JONES HAS BEEN LOOKING SWEET FROM THE PRESEASON GAMES I HAVE BEEN WATCHING AND NOTHING WRONG WITH HAVING A STRONG BACK TO GIVE SOMEONE A BREATHER.
