Title: Browns Offseason Report
Post by StegRock on Mar 6th, 2004, 7:41pm
Well, while the quarterback quandary continues, the running back field thins out and opens up more for Green and Suggs as, according to local sources on "the Gridiron Newsstand", Jamel White was released:

They say that Tampa Bay, Oakland, Arizona, Detroit and Pittsburgh have already expressed interest.

I think Detroit would be the best fit, seconded by Tampa, thirded by Oakland.  I wouldn't like him going to Arizona or Pittsburgh.  I wonder if Denver will jump into the mix.  He would be a good fit there.

(Also contained in article, information on where things with Couch stand.)

William Green is ready to take advantage of his second chance with the Browns. I saw this and thought maybe some Green owners or potential Green owners might find it interesting. Green has the physical ability now if he starts to get a head on his shoulder he may be ready for a big year.

Thanks for the article Mossaholic.

Does anyone know if Green still has any NFL suspension time left or has that all been served?  I didn't see any mention of it in the article.

I have to assume its over, due to the fact that he is in minicamp and

the NFL's policy that prohibits teams from having any contact with league-suspended players.

I have Green in the GBRFL2, and really have been trying to unload him because of his character problems.  I am beginning to actually admire how he appears to be pulling himself together.   Pretty decent article regarding Green, from which the above quote was taken:
