Title: your thoughts on this possible trade
Post by grimreaper99 on Apr 12th, 2004, 9:31pm
i have been offered this trade in my dynasty keeper league. we start 1 qb 2 rb 3 wr 1te 1 k 1d/st. basic scoring. 12 teams. now on to the proposal i have been offered priest holmes charlie garner jimmy smith and rookie draft pick # 1.9 for a. green rudi johnson toomer and m. bulger.  my # 1 rb is L.t. and my starting qb is delhomme with collins as my backup if i take this deal. what do you guys think take it or leave it you decide. thanks in advance guys for your thoughts.

I wouldn't do it.  Priest and Ahman are both studs, so neither side gains there.  Charlie Garner is MUCH older than Rudi Johnson and I think Johnson probably had better numbers as a part-timer (don't have the stats in front of me) than Garner did last year.  Plus there's no guarantee that the Bucs won't grab a RB in the draft (Steven Jackson or Kevin Jones could both be available).  I'd rather have Ahman and Rudi than Priest and Charlie.

Amani Toomer and Jimmy Smith are a wash, in my opinion, at this point.  Smith will score more TDs, Toomer is younger and will have more yards, but there is some QB uncertainty in NY.

Then it's Marc Bulger vs. a rookie draft pick.  Bulger is still the starter and he'll still be throwing to Torry Holt, so I wouldn't dump him for an unknown at 1.9.

Don't do it!  In short, which is unusual for the Steg, ;) it doesn't fit your team at all.
