Pats '04 Schedule

The Good:

Having FOUR games in prime time. FINALLY we get some R-E-S-P-E-C-T from the national media.

The Bad:

Having our bye on week 3. This is generally reserved for the Clevelands & Cincinnattis of the league. At least Carolina shares in our shame.

And The Ugly:

Having the Dolphins at home in October instead of December, as has been the case for many seasons. This is a big advantage to Miami in my opinion.

Hey, Bakes....

The Good - Superbowl Champs SHOULD get a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

The Bad - Week 3 Bye. Whatever. My favorite 49er fan still swears that he thinks Al Davis must have slept with Tagliabue's wife at some point in time. Who knows why teams get the shaft from time to time.

The Ugly - The biggest problem with Miami is having them in Miami in September. When it's about 120 on the field. Wouldn't it be nice to have them at home in a nice New England blizzard!

[offtopic]From the get-go, this thread was teetering on the edge between okay in "the Red Zone" and better-off on "the Sidelines". The clever way the initial post was worded, pointing out its fantasy-relevance, kept it here. But, the way it is going is definitely the way of "the Sidelines". We'll leave it here for now. I am absolutely ecstatic about how the byes lined up for me in the GBRFL2. I am curious to take a look and see how it worked out for the rest of the league.

Week 8 looks pretty ugly for me with St Louis and New Orleans on a bye in the GBRFL. Brooks, McAllister, Horn, Stallworth, and Holt all on a bye.

In terms of fantasy leagues, the first thing I look at is the last few weeks of the regular season aka fantasy playoffs. The 2 QBs who many would consider #1 & #2 as far as fantasy scoring is concerned have perhaps the easiest schedules, at the MOST crucial time for fantasy owners. Add the potential of a Mike or Roy Williams along side Peerless in Atlanta & another year of development for the young stud Wayne in Indy and you should be that much more thrilled if you have one of these 2 stud QBs on your roster for '04.

Falcons - Michael Vick

week 14 - Oak (game plan: keep away from Charles)
week 15 - Car (no push over, but SB38 exposed DBs)
week 16 - N O (weakest of the 4 on many leagues SB)
week 17 - Sea (young & still learning)

Colts - Peyton Manning

week 14 - Hou (good D but it is on turf)
week 15 - Bal (strong D but once again on turf)
week 16 - S D (see Vick's week 16 matchup)
week 17 - Den (will Champ for Clinton make the diff?)

Other teams with relatively easy schedules IMO down the stretch are:

KC
Philly
Carolina
SF
Houston
Seattle

The schedule looks pretty good for me at most positions. At RB, however, I have five (of my eight) RBs with a bye in week four. This shouldn't be a problem as I imagine my RB roster will look quite different by the time the season starts.
