Bad news coming out of "the Gridiron Newsstand" and on "The REAL Feed" for the Rams defense:

Rams DE Little arrested, cited for DWI

Early on April 24, Rams defensive end Leonard Little, a Pro Bowl performer, was arrested in suburban St. Louis and cited for driving while intoxicated.

Also, in other news, related to the initial post above regarding what appeared to be the impending departure of Kurt Warner, the AP is now reporting and Mike Martz is now claiming that Warner's agent overrecacted and that Warner could remain a Ram. Here is the report:

What do you guys think? I'm not sure. I know they need a competent backup for Bulger, for sure, and they do not have one yet.

I'm very interested to see if Kurt can make some kind of comeback w/ another team. It almost seems sur-real how he basically came from stocking grocery shelves to Arena Football to becoming an NFL backup to winning a superbowl (& setting some NFL passing records) on a team that almost NO ONE thought would be in the playoff hunt that year but only to fall again to a backup role and now, all but looking for another team to sign him - hoping once again, to get a chance to start.

Very sur-real NFL career.

Just thought I'd stop by and give a quick report on the Rams' minicamp. No Warner, no Pace, no Little. Faulk is still rehabbing his offseason knee surgery so he didn't participate. First round draft pick Steven Jackson wasn't there either because Oregon State hadn't graduated yet so his participation would have violated NFL rules.

Of the people who were there, Chris Chandler looked awesome. He made throws alll over the field. He must have felt like a kid in a candy store being able to throw to those receivers. Bulger was inconsistent, and by all accounts very inaccurate on the deep balls.

Lamar Gordon got most of the carries, but what can you tell about a running back when they're in shorts and no pads? One thing to keep your eye on is that Martz is considering moving Arlen Harris to fullback.

Second year WRs Kevin Curtis and Shaun McDonald both saw extensive action. Coming off injuries last year, niether flashed the speed that made the Rams draft them, but the coaches were encouraged by what they saw.

If the season were to start right now, he'd be the #3 WR. He impressed me last year too. Reminded me of Proehel. Bulger threw to him often on third down, mostly slants and quick outs.

For deep leagues, keep an eye on Rams' camp to see who emerges as #3.

So far just a rumor, but it bears watching:

I have never drafted Marshall Faulk in all my years of FF. I realize I missed out on some of the big seasons, but I missed out on a lot of heartbreak too.

My only comment back is that a little concern in June-July-August can easily turn into A LOT of concern come September-October-November, like has been the case the last two years with Faulk. In fantasy football, it is of utmost importance to learn from history and not repeat mistakes. That's all I'm going to say.
