Title: WINDOWS 2004 - Indianapolis Colts
Post by Philly on Jul 16th, 2004, 10:34am
No, this isn't a new Microsoft operating system release.  This is your opportunity to share your statistical "windows" for players on each of the NFL teams.  Our fearless leader, StegRock, refers to these statistical ranges as "windows" and, to show, due deference, I will continue that modus operandi.

Every few days as we lead up to the regular season, I'll post a new team.  Put your estimated 2004 statistics for players on that team in the thread.  If enough people participate, these threads should produce some pretty helpful information for player rankings leading up to your drafts.

Feel free to give windows for as many players as you feel confident.  If you play IDP, go ahead and include some defensive player statistics as well.  You can just list the player with the windows or you can give reasons for your rankings as well.  Discussions of others' rankings are welcome too.

Be sure to scroll down the list and find the Windows for other teams and contribute there as well!

QB
Peyton Manning: 4200-4400 PaYds, 28-30 TDs, 21-23 INTs
Another big passing year for Manning.

RBs
Edgerrin James: 1400-1500 RuYds, 14-15 TDs, 300-400 ReYds, 1-2 TDs
Dominic Rhodes: 300-400 RuYds, 2-3 TDs
I think Edge is primed for a very big year.  Injuries are a concern, so handcuff him with the capable Rhodes (and then handcuff Rhodes with Mungro if needed).

WRs
Marvin Harrison: 1200-1300 ReYds, 9-11 TDs
Reggie Wayne: 750-800 ReYds, 7-8 TDs
Brandon Stokely: 600-700 ReYds, 5-7 TDs
Troy Walters: 300-400 ReYds, 1-2 TDs
Harrison is always money.  Wayne will get some TDs and decent yards.  Stokely is the boom/bust player.

TEs
Marcus Pollard: 500-550 ReYds, 4-5 TDs
Dallas Clark: 300-400 ReYds, 2-3 TDs
I'm still not convinced that Clark will bust out as many are predicting.  I still think Pollard is the safer FF play.

QB
Peyton Manning - 4000 - 4400 yards, 28 - 32 touchdowns passing :o

RB
Edgerrin James - 1200 - 1450 yards, 10 - 12 touchdowns rushing & 300 - 450 yards, 2 - 3 touchdowns receiving

WR
Marvin Harrison - 1250 - 1450 yards, 10 - 12 touchdowns receiving
Reggie Wayne - 850 - 1000 yards, 6 - 9 touchdowns receiving

TE
Dallas Clark - 450 - 700 yards, 3 - 5 touchdowns receiving
Marcus Pollard - 350 - 500 yards, 3 - 4 touchdowns receiving
I expect BIG improvement for Clark, ultimately that which causes him to surpass Pollard as the team's #1 go-to tight end.
