i'm in a 1 keeper auction league...spent way too much for deuce - i'll get him again - but for less - jamal was a steal last year - but may be starring in a version of the longest yard this year...if i keep him as a #1 back, ami i gonna get burned???

First off, prm, thanks for joining the effort here and [smiley=welcome.gif] to "the Gridiron"!

Your question is surely a valid one. However, you need not worry. All indications have been that it is very unlikely that Jamal will be convicted and an early mistrial (with prejudice) is not out of the realm of possibility. In any event, he'll be on the field this season. Look no farther than at the circumstances of Michael Pittman. All that hubbub last offseason AND again this amounted in the end to a slap on the wrist and had relatively little effect.

You won't get burned this year, because like Steve said, he'll play this year. But you may be looking at a couple game suspension next year if you decide to keep him that year, as well.
