Title: WINDOWS 2004 - New York Jets
Post by Philly on Jul 30th, 2004, 11:30am
No, this isn't a new Microsoft operating system release.  This is your opportunity to share your statistical "windows" for players on each of the NFL teams.  Our fearless leader, StegRock, refers to these statistical ranges as "windows" and, to show due deference, I will continue that modus operandi.

Every few days as we lead up to the regular season, I'll post a new team.  Put your estimated 2004 statistics for players on that team in the thread.  If enough people participate, these threads should produce some pretty helpful information for player rankings leading up to your drafts.

Feel free to give windows for as many players as you feel confident.  If you play IDP, go ahead and include some defensive player statistics as well.  You can just list the player with the windows or you can give reasons for your rankings as well.  Discussions of others' rankings are welcome too.

Be sure to scroll down the list and find the Windows for other teams and contribute there as well!   [smiley=bullseye.gif]

QB
Chad Pennington: 3500-3800 PaYds, 25-28 TDs, 10-12 INTs
Pennington will put up numbers to rival most of the QBs being taken well before him.  He's great value in the fifth or sixth rounds as a #1 QB.

RBs
Curtis Martin: 800-950 RuYds, 3-5 TDs, 200-250 ReYds, 1-2 TDs
LaMont Jordan: 500-600 RuYds, 7-9 TDs
Martin continued to defy the odds in 2003, however Jordan is in a contract year and should get some more PT from the Jets in 2004 before they decide what to do with him.  CuMar is a good #3 FF RB and Jordan should be solid in TD leagues.

WRs
Santana Moss: 950-1100 ReYds, 7-8 TDs
Justin McCareins: 875-1000 ReYds, 11-12 TDs
Wayne Chrebet: 300-450 ReYds, 2-3 TDs
Jerricho Cotchery: 150-200 ReYds
When all is said and done, Moss and McCareins should have fairly similar fantasy numbers, but Moss is going as early as the third round in drafts while McCareins is a much better value going much later.

TE
Anthony Becht: 250-350 ReYds, 2-3 TDs
Mikhael Ricks: 200-350 ReYds, 1-2 TDs
Neither one excites me very much.
