Title: Re: Add/Drop help Post by Philly on Aug 24th, 2004, 6:43pm As long as it doesn't cause a bye-week problem, I'd do that in a second. Leftwich has Jimmy Smith and a promising rookie in Reggie Williams to throw to. He also has an established running game to take the pressure off the receivers. Grossman has David Terrell (who has never lived up to his hype) and Bobby Wade and Justin Gage (who is nothing but hype at this point) and an uncertain running game. (I believe Thomas Jones will do well, but there's no history to indicate this to be true). |

Title: Re: Add/Drop help Post by DB on Aug 25th, 2004, 4:52pm I agree with the above. However, to play devil's advocate for Grossman, I have read in several places that he is looking good this preseason. I like what I saw at the end of last year too. ;) So, I think it is a no-brainer right now based on Leftwich's play last year, I would keep an eye on Grossman in the beginning of the year to see how he does (although the Bears have a tough schedule weeks 2-4). |

Title: Re: Add/Drop help Post by DOLFAN on Aug 25th, 2004, 7:57pm They are saying that Lefty is not having a good camp, but he is much better than Grossman, and will improve this season. He also has many great options at his disposal. This should already be a done deal. |
