Title: Edge doubtful for week three Post by Callie on Sep 20th, 2004, 2:03pm James is doubtful for Week 3 against Green Bay with a second degree hamstring strain, head coach Tony Dungy said. Keep checking the Real Feed. I can't go there right now to put in any links. |

Could be a good play against the Packers especially with big G. Jackson on the sideline |

I've already got a waiver claim on Rhodes in my money league as Edge is my #1 RB. Glad to hear it's just a hammy and nothing related to his ACL injury of a couple years ago. |

Title: Re: Edge doubtful for week three Post by Callie on Sep 20th, 2004, 4:27pm Sorry about just popping in and out. No choice. Be careful, I have Rhodes in CBFL - guaranteed ticket to RB injury! Kevin Jones falls next. You heard it here first.... |

Title: Re: Edge doubtful for week three Post by Chumpzilla on Sep 25th, 2004, 9:02pm This information still doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling about starting Edge. Dungy stating "Right now, I'll assume that he'll probably play." Probably? [smiley=uh.gif] And his statement that "It won't be so much a total play count," Dungy said. "It will probably be six plays, then out, eight plays, out, something like that. We'll see how he goes." So, the million dollar question, would YOU start him? [smiley=idontknow.gif] |

Rhodes could get a lot or a little. Who else do you have? Personally, I'm starting Rhodes in a swing slot in the one league where I have him. |

Title: Re: Edge doubtful for week three Post by Chumpzilla on Sep 25th, 2004, 9:19pm Unfortunately, Edge, Rudi Johnson, Emmitt, ReShard Lee. [smiley=dejected.gif] |

Title: Re: Edge doubtful for week three Post by Callie on Sep 25th, 2004, 9:42pm George is predicted in some places to go RBBC with 20 or less carries, Anderson to get slightly less than that (knee injury), and Lee to get what's left. Other places think Lee will benefit from the whole mess and have a better day than expected. There is always the possibility and maybe likelihood that Parcells will go with the pass as well. That means that for your main starters, George and Lee are total gambles, in my opinion. Rudi plays the Baltimore D. I would NOT start him this week for that reason. They should shut Rudi completely down. That said, oddly enough I think your best gamble might just be Edge (he might at least get you a TD and 50 or so yds.) and either George or Lee, depending how you toss the coin, for the possible TD. |
