Title: Toomer and Whitten for Fargas and Stallworth Post by The_Dog on Sep 23rd, 2004, 11:29am I need a tight end so I have to consider this trade. Right now Stallworth is my 2nd receiver with Driver backing him up. Fargas has little to no value in my eyes..... I had Kellen Winslow so I think Whitten may be a good addition, but I don't know to much about him. Toomer is pretty much equal to Driver to me. Standard scoring What do you guys think? |

IMO, TEs of Whitten's value are a dime a dozen. I would think you could waiver wire one each week based on matchups. I'd keep Stallworth. Good Luck! |

Title: Re: Toomer and Whitten for Fargas and Stallworth Post by The_Dog on Sep 23rd, 2004, 5:26pm Very weak....... Wiggens, Mangum, Jolley, Cooley, Dilger you see with my league you can't pick up a free agent and play them that week. You don't offically get them until the Tuesday following. Therefore everyone carries 2 tight ends. My 2nd happens to be Jeb Putzier from Denver. I was looking into the trade more and noticed on most preseason draft boards Toomer was ranked higher than Dante and Witten was not ranked to bad for tight ends. You guys still do not feel this would be a good idea? |

I put Toomer on my "do not draft at all costs" lists. Warner has lost it in my opinion. He was never really suited for a vertical game anyway; more of a dunk and RAC guy. Besides, Warner will have to give way to Eli at some point, and though Eli will be a good QB, it won't happen this year. I'd stay clear of Toomer. |

Title: Re: Toomer and Whitten for Fargas and Stallworth Post by GOLF_FREAK on Sep 24th, 2004, 11:45am TOOMER IS BETTER THAN STALLWORTH. I FIRST CHOICE OVER A 2DN CHOICE. THAT IS THAT. DO THE TRADE. |

Title: Re: Toomer and Whitten for Fargas and Stallworth Post by The_Dog on Sep 25th, 2004, 10:28am I ended up pulling the trigger on this trade. The factor that pushed me over the edge was Donte's game log from last year........he would have a monster game followed by 4 or 5 duds. I rarely make a trade with the little support that I got on this one, but I couldn't resist. I hope you guys were wrong. [smiley=idontknow.gif] |
