Title: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 3 Post by StegRock on Sep 28th, 2004, 5:31pm Here is another one of our fun participatory threads here in "the Red Zone" (to go along with our "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week"). It is called "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week". Here, you are to list your key player(s) for the week, the one or ones that were key to your victory(ies). I really think we can have some fun with this! [smiley=dancin.gif] You can expect this to be up every Monday/Tuesday from here on out! |

Title: Re: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 3 Post by StegRock on Sep 28th, 2004, 8:09pm For my two wins this week in the GBRFL, 45 -17 and 34 - 4, I am giving out SIX game balls, ALL VERY WELL-DESERVED... QB's Jake Plummer [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] and Brad Johnson [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] (you guys know how I feel about my boy Brad [smiley=smitten.gif] (and Jake too, for that matter) and, given the Bucs' woeful offense this year, Brad's overall performance and Simms looming in the background, occasion for this may not come up too often, if ever, again, :-/ so... :) ) RB's Jamal Lewis [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] and Priest Holmes [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] (the [smiley=priest.gif] especially for playing through his ankle injury) RC Isaac Bruce [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] (who is turning into one of my best offseason acquisitions (among many great ones) [smiley=awwgee.gif] ever; he's having a better season than Holt thus far [smiley=ohshit.gif] ) DU Atlanta Falcons [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] (who I picked up two weeks ago with just this game in mind ;D ) |

Title: Re: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 3 Post by Walker Boh on Sep 29th, 2004, 6:20am This week's game [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] goes to Michael Strahan. He made 5.5 tackles, 2 sacks and recovered 2 fumbles as he lead the Rotten Apples to their second win in a row, while becoming the highest scoring team in the Giants of the Gridiron league. Thanks Michael! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] |

Title: Re: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 3 Post by Philly on Sep 29th, 2004, 9:40am TTOOFL - Seattle Seahawks D - ended up losing a winnable game when my opponent had Rod Gardner go nuts on MNF. (Aaron Brooks and Terrell Owens also get a mention here.) GBRFL2 - Peyton Manning - Five TDs and all those yards, along with a sweet completion percentage of 70% and no INTs. I'll also throw a game ball to Tyrone Wheatley who stepped up big as a bye-week fill-in. CBFL - Maybe the Pats defense? CBFL teams benefit when their D has a bye. Otherwise, Hines Ward. Overall, poor showing in this league this week. GotG - Donovan McNabb - In another losing effort. My defensive players (with a few zeroes) gave me a total of 22 points. My opponent had one DL give him 20. |

Title: Re: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 3 Post by DirkDiggler on Sep 30th, 2004, 3:42pm I guess my MVP would have to be Torry Holt. He had a decent game and caught a TD. Kind of a pathetic week for my teams. |
