Title: Time to trade Ahman Green?
Post by captainpurple on Oct 12th, 2004, 2:14pm
I started a similar post after week 1, when I wanted to trade Q Griffin.  I was too stupid to do it   [smiley=dunce.gif], and he just hit waivers as I was unable to carry him due to byes.

Same league, I've still got Ahman, Fred Taylor, Rudi & Mewelde.  WRs are DJax, Marcus Robinson (just acquired), Wayne & KRob (working on a trade).

I am trying to get a KRob for Santana Moss trade, but the guy is really dragging his feet.  With Greens fumbles and GBs total meltdown this year, is it time to package KRob & Ahman to go after a top flight WR like TO or Moss?

Can Ahman even demand that much anymore?

I just looked at the GB sched and they have a lot of games left against tough defenses.  It might be time to look to unload him.  If you can get a TO or Moss for K-Rob and Ahman, do it in a hearbeat - even if it does hurt your RB depth.  (But I see you are an active WW guy, so you'll find someone to help.)

I think even though he has struggled early, Ahman Green is just too good of a back to try and dump.  Remember, last year he started out slow like this also then came on like gangbusters.  Green will pick it up.  I cant imagine him staying this crappy all season.  Remember what we are taught in economics classes also.  Buy low and sell high, not buy high and sell low.
