Title: Re: jerry rice to seattle Post by StegRock on Oct 19th, 2004, 7:11pm (Just doing the homework...) From Seahawkland, off "the Gridiron Newsstand (http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/newsstand.htm)" are the following goodies: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/seahawks/2002067194_webhawk19.html; http://www.thenewstribune.com/sports/seahawks/story/4123014p-3889149c.html; http://www.sportstricities.com/sportstc/football/seahawks/story/1745908p-9581633c.html. The last two paragraphs of the first one, which draw a comparison between the Rice trade here and the Seahawks' 1984 trade for Franco Harris, is "telling"... both from an NFL perspective and a fantasy perspective,... both very different "stories", though. With Robinson possibly looking at a suspension, Rice could still have a fantasy impact for a little while at least. Regarding the Robinson situation: http://www.thenewstribune.com/sports/seahawks/story/4121241p-3887453c.html. The following is an excellent "insider-type" overview piece taking much more, if not the whole (as it currently is filled in at least), of the picture into consideration: http://www.kingcountyjournal.com/sited/story/html/176144. |
