Title: Hurting at RB..who to pick-up? Post by MordecaiCourage on Oct 28th, 2004, 4:39pm Need some insight here please. I have 2 of my 3 RB's on bye this week. I need to pick up 1 RB. Who would you guys chose between Hoover, Levens, and Richie Anderson. Unfortunately that is all that is out there to get. I've got them in that order. What do you think? Thanks |

Title: Re: Hurting at RB..who to pick-up? Post by Philly on Oct 28th, 2004, 5:23pm I think that is the order I would take them too. Hoover and Levens are close, and Anderson is third. Hoover did well last week and is the clear #1 guy. Goings could steal a few carries, but not many. But Hoover plays at Seattle and they will be desperate for a win. If Seattle can score early, Carolina could be forced to go to the air before they really want to. Levens will share carries and catches (probably 65/35) with Reno Mahe, Josh Parry, and maybe Thomas Tapeh (if activated). The Eagles, however, face a tough Baltimore defense and will likely throw the ball a lot more than they run it. Levens has a shot at a score (or two? probably not), but not much in the way of yards. So I'd go with Hoover first. |

Title: Re: Hurting at RB..who to pick-up? Post by Callie on Oct 28th, 2004, 9:29pm Do you want to keep the pick-up for more than for Week 8? If you do, I would pick up Levens. I read that Westbrook is out for 2 to 6 weeks, and if Levens starts he should be great on good matchups. |

Westbrook has a small, non-displaced fracture of a rib. The injury will heal in 4-6 weeks. The only thing that will prevent him from playing is the pain. I imagine he'll sit out no more than 2 weeks. |

Title: Re: Hurting at RB..who to pick-up? Post by lumber2121 on Oct 29th, 2004, 9:55am Hoover is the clear number one, yes. However, he plays for a fairly weak offense. The again, he did put up some numbers last week. Levens is going against the Balitmore defense, which, in my opinion, is better Seattle's defense. Hoover would be my pick as well. |
