Title: Who to start?
Post by Yankeegirl49 on Nov 12th, 2004, 7:37am
Need some advice....
Do I start Hasselbeck at QB vs STL or Delhomme vs SF? Seems to be a coin toss, but I can use some help. Thanks!

Hmmm....I think I'd choose Hasselbeck even though SF is missing thier starting corners. Matt has more healthy weapons at his disposal.

I'd go with Hasselbeck on this one.  Better talent at wr, te.

Hasslebeck is your guy.  Delhomme can throw a lot of interceptions.  Also, as mentioned, Hasslebeck has the better offense and more weapons.

Both are facing weak defenses that will give up passing yards.  Delhomme will be forced to throw because there is no running game in Carolina now and SF will be playing dime all day long.  Go with Hasselbeck because he has a balanced offense and has more opportunities to get receivers open because the D has to respect the run.

I'd play Hasselbeck, and here's why:

The Rams secondary. The Rams are allowing big time QB ratings, plain and simple.

True, CAR needs a running game and the 9ers need a pass D, but I say Hass has a good game.

Both QBs could get a couple of TDs, but I think Hass will pass his butt off all day.

BTW - Interested in becoming a Gridironette?

tough choice.

Hass put up 285 yds & 3 td's (25,33,39) against SF "d" last week.

Brady put up 234 yds & 2 td's (2,4) against STL "d" last week.  Vinateri (Kicker) also threw a TD (4 yds) on a fake FG.

i'd say SF "d" is gonna give up more then STL "d".

i know Delhomme doesnt have the run game that Hass does but i still think they will do just enough to get Delhomme passing game going and do some damage to that horrible SF secondary.

Also SEA does have a stud RB, so i believe they will run alot more.

was it 2 weeks ago SF "d" gave up a bomb td (50 yds ?)to Berrian from Krenzel of CHI - who are these guys??

i think i'd go Delhomme.

I hope she listened to SOSO, too.  I started Hass in the one league I have him as a backup QB.  I practiced what I preached.  (Seemed I needed to.  Pennington was my starter, picked up Big Ben as a backup, took Hass later as part of a trade.  Cannot seem to unload Chad!)

But I hope she listened to me about becoming a Gridironette!
