PANTHERS PLACE RB DAVIS ON IR

Associated Press reports the Carolina Panthers have placed RB Stephen Davis (knee) on injured reserve, officially ending his 2004 season.

The Panthers signed Jamal Robertson to fill in for Davis. Robertson, who was dropped by San Francisco this year, will probably split carries with the other yahoos in the Carolina backfield for awhile. I am pretty sure that he did well spelling Barlow earlier in the season. Robertson maybe worth a deep reserve spot or at least keeping an eye on.

anyone think the panthers will pick up james jackson who the browns jus dropped? i thought about picking him up because he may go there and have the job right now..
