Title: Trade Deadline Near
Post by lowfreak on Nov 18th, 2004, 12:07pm
I need a good RB as the season starts to end and play offs start. Right now I have
R Johnson, C Brown, Suggs and the A train. As you can see I'm in bad shape, however I'm in third place with the most points, top four make the play offs. I've been offered D Davis or Droughns for A. Lelie. What do I do. PS I'm solid on WR
Thanks in advanced

Who would offer that trade? I would go with either.  Denver does run the ball more late in the season.  If you remember most of portis big games the last two years came later in the season.

Jump on that offer quick! Either Droughns or DDavis is fine, each have drawbacks, I'd go with Droughns.

Trade for Droughns.  They are pretty equal, but I would rather have Droughns.

I'd offer way more than Lelie for Droughns.  I cannot think of a scoring system where I wouldn't.  Still don't know how Davis will finish.  If you are a contender, go Droughns if you can sleep at night.

You better have already jumped on that deal one way or another...  Sorry for the late response to this... and, moreover, the belated [smiley=welcome.gif] to "the Gridrion", friend!  I hope to see you 'round often.

Regarding who you should (have) take(n), I would have went with Domanick Davis over Reuben Droughns.  Davis had been slumping, but he's their guy.  The Texans schedule does get a bit rough down the final stretch, but, frankly speaking, the jury is still VERY out on Droughns.  For more on that, you can peruse my Denver Donkeys report:

http://www.ffpro.com/teamreports/broncos/broncos-footballinfoframes.htm.

Dig a bit!  I think I lay out a reason-able, but unconventional, yet fairly accurate depiction of Droughns.  All things equal, I actually think it is time to dump Droughns, not acquire him.

Does this mean that Steg predicts a Shanney November or December Bell surprise???????????????????????????????????
