Title: trade consult? Post by geojon on Nov 18th, 2004, 3:45pm F. Taylor & J. Walker for C. Dillon & A. Lelie Do it? Have Edge, D. Davis, M. Moore, S. Jackson T. Holt, C. Chambers Reason: I'm thinking as the playoffs get near, I'll need a front line RB from a playoff bound team. What say you? Tks. Geo |

Title: Re: trade consult? Post by captainpurple on Nov 18th, 2004, 5:11pm i'm assuming you're getting Dillon and Lelie. Personally, I don't like it. Del Rio is saying the Jags are going to "refocus" on the run, and Taylor's 140+ yds reflect that. Still no TDs though. Walker is hot and Favre is almost as hot, and they are hooking up regularly. On the other side, Dillon is on a lower scoring NE team than years past, and the Pats pass for almost 80% of their scores. Lelie is way too inconsistent for a fantasy team with playoff and/or superbowl aspirations. I say [smiley=thumbsdown.gif]. Good Luck! |

Title: Re: trade consult? Post by geojon on Nov 18th, 2004, 6:29pm I think you are right. Now's the time I usually just trade to make a trade. Here's what I have going into the playoffs, 10 team league: QC: McNabb, Vick RB: Edge, D. Davis, F. Taylor, M. Moore, S. Jackson WR: Walker, Holt, Chambers TE: Tony G I think I'm competitive. Just trying to get an edge. Tks. |

Title: Re: trade consult? Post by Callie on Nov 18th, 2004, 8:31pm I agree with the Captain. Especially because you cannot afford to give up Walker unless it's for T.O.! How many WRs do your start? |

Title: Re: trade consult? Post by lumber2121 on Nov 19th, 2004, 8:06am I back Callie and the Capt. I also have a tendency to fall into the trade for the sake of trading trap. As the old adage goes, 'sometimes the best trade is the one you do not make.' In short, stay put. Starting Lelie and either Holt or Chambers increases your risk at wide receiver. Your team looks strong. Good luck. |

Title: Re: trade consult? Post by sameoldsameold on Nov 19th, 2004, 1:01pm WALKER is a stud....and your not getting a stud back... also another thing about dillons team being frontline for playoffs....that can work against you because if they get to far ahead they could rest him(remember stephen davis last year)....i would not do this trade or even think of doing it for a second....keep what you got and win your division |
