Title: 2 RB or not 2 RB... that is the question... Post by Philly on Nov 30th, 2004, 3:39pm Question for you all... I start 2 RBs, standard scoring - 1/10 yards, 6/TD... Which 2 would you pick? Nick Goings at New Orleans Julius Jones at Seattle LaDainian Tomlinson v. Denver Willis McGahee at Miami The choice looks obvious (LT2 and McGahee) until you look at their opponents and the opponents of the other two... thoughts? |

Title: Re: 2 RB or not 2 RB... that is the question... Post by BarnabyWilde on Nov 30th, 2004, 4:50pm I would go LT2 and Jones. I like the way JJ has been running the ball lately, plus the matchup is nnice, since Seattle has been very bad lately. |

Title: Re: 2 RB or not 2 RB... that is the question... Post by StegRock on Nov 30th, 2004, 5:40pm Boy, that is a toughie, Phil, between Goings, Jones and Tomlinson. I would go with Tomlinson because you know if you pull him, he'll blow up on ya. You just can't bench your guy. Also, Denver is susceptible to the run, especially when they are playing away. Then, I'd go with Goings over Jones. Though Jones's matchup is surely good, Goings's is the (long e) matchup. The Saints have been consistently horrific against the run all year long and the Panthers are on a bit of a roll [smiley=rollin.gif] and back on the fringe of the playoff hunt. I think they roll over the Saints [smiley=rollin.gif] ... [smiley=priest.gif] in a big way and put themselves in a position to run the clock out. [smiley=ontheclock.gif] This will almost definitely NOT happen for Julius. That said, I think he is likely to have a good game. Good luck, brother! [smiley=shamrock.gif] |

Title: Re: 2 RB or not 2 RB... that is the question... Post by sexydexy on Nov 30th, 2004, 10:45pm As good as Goings' matchup is and as good as Julius has been... You have to go with Tomlinson and McGahee. McGahee goes against one of the worst rush defenses in the league and Tomlinson is Tomlinson. He'll get receiving yards on top of the rushing yards and is a double threat. |

Title: Re: 2 RB or not 2 RB... that is the question... Post by Chumpzilla on Dec 1st, 2004, 4:43am In my opinion, LT is a must start, regardless of opponent. He always has the potential to go big and gets points on the ground and in the air. I would pass on Jones for now. He had a nice week against the Bears but, in my opinion, he showed nothing before his injury to indicate that he can be a consistent, serviceable back. I am also not on the McGahee or the Goings bandwagon yet either. However, I believe the Saints have the more pathetic defense so I'd gamble with Goings. |

Title: Re: 2 RB or not 2 RB... that is the question... Post by lumber2121 on Dec 1st, 2004, 6:04pm LT - because he is LT McGahee - because he has run for over 100 yards in 5 of the 6 games he has started. |

Title: Re: 2 RB or not 2 RB... that is the question... Post by Mossaholic on Dec 1st, 2004, 11:59pm That is definatly a tough decision but a good problem to have. I would never bench LT2. Then I would go with Willis in his home coming game. |
