Title: Help for my in depth team
Post by GURUMAN on Dec 4th, 2004, 4:11pm
Man Guys I got a serious problem.

6 points for TD(pass or rush)
1 point - 20 yards per rush
1 point - 50 yards per pass

I got Kerry Collins at KC
Mike Vick at TB who should I start?

I have at RB Larry Croom at Detroit, Droughns at Sandiego, Tiki Barber at Washington and THomas Jones at Minnesota. MAN this is frustrating. Who should I start at RB guys.

Lastly do you guys think Buffalo will get nice fantasy numbers against Buffalo or would you guys pick up St. Louis defense against San Fran?

Hey guruman,

I would give Collins vs. KC a shot, Oakland has no running game to speak of and no defense to stop KC so you have to figure Collins will be chucking all day and should at least put up garbage points.

At RB, that's tough, your two primary guys, Droughns and Barber, have pretty tough matchups, and your two backups have cakewalks.  I would probably stick with your studly RBs, despite the less than ideal matchups, Droughns and Barber.

Buffalo against Miami is about as good a matchup as you could hope for your defense, I wouldn't waste time considering a change here.

I agree with what Jake says here.

If Vick can play like an RB and a QB all day, just great.  BUT...I don't think it will be that way.  The Bucs have his number, and Crumpler is available.  Play Collins.

Croom could show up.  No way to tell, except that weird things happen.  They don't know how to defend him yet.  But they're starting a rook QB against DET.

Droughns has a tough run D matchup, but he's beaten that before.  Good start.  One guy you do not sit.

The Skins have slipped on the run D lately (think Bettis and Westbrook and Rudi in the last weeks).  Barber is the O lately, and the WAS D can be worn down.  What else are they going to do (unless WAS knows this and stacks the box, for awhile).

Jones has a really interesting situation.  The Viking D has been tough on the run, and they could cram the box at him (what else?).  But the Bears could keep the game close enough to let Jones have a chance to do something.  The trick is that Jones will have to get an opportunity to make some hay with a few good long runs.  Dicey.  That may mean a few points in your system, and possibly TDs (if he actually gets into the end zone).

All that said (so that you can decide for yourself), I would go Barber, Droughns, Jones and Croom - in that order.

Lastly, play BUF.

Oh, gee!  Didn't say it!   [smiley=welcome.gif]  Nice questions!
