Question: What is Holmes's status for next year? Will he start the preseason healthy? How bad is his knee sprain?

Chiefs Place Holmes on IR; Season Officially Over

Jay Glazer, of Fox Sports, reports on Foxsports.com that Kansas City Chiefs RB Priest Holmes (knee) is officially out for the remainder of the year. The Chiefs have placed him on Injured Reserve due to his MCL sprain.

RBs Derrick Blaylock and Larry Johnson will fill in at tailback the remainder of the season.
