Title: Re: Tatum Bell or Roy Williams? Post by StegRock on Dec 24th, 2004, 12:20pm VERY tough call. I would go position here and go with the running back Bell. I think Harrington and, thus, Williams could be in for a long day this Sunday against a Bears defense that can be tough vis-a-vis last against the Vikings porous defense. |

Title: Re: Tatum Bell or Roy Williams? Post by Tony_O on Dec 24th, 2004, 12:30pm That's the way my brain played it out as well. This week is for all the marbles(900$). I picked up Bell this week to replace C. Brown. I hope the gamble pays off. |

[offtopic]900 big ones, huh? You must be intimating that (if you win it) you want to make a modest donation to "the Gridiron". ;) That's great! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Thanks for the thought. [smiley=bow.gif][/offtopic] |

Title: Re: Tatum Bell or Roy Williams? Post by StegRock on Dec 24th, 2004, 5:16pm Good luck in the game. Really, I, just like a good RB, am just cutting to the hole here... You do not have to feel like you need to give based on this advice specifically. On the other hand, another way of looking at it,... please do not let an affordable donation, which goes to the greater good of the site in terms of the bigger picture, hinge merely upon this. I surely hope you do not think that this small piece of perhaps accurate, perhaps not advice is the greatest thing this site has given you. Point being, predicate your "generosity" on the "bigger picture", something "greater", perhaps simply the idea of "giving back". Then, I believe that your true generosity will shine through. Predicating it merely on this and the subsequent outcome of your game is really preventative of such a realization of goodness and turns a (potentially) true, heartfelt, sincere show of appreciation into a mere heartless chance event. |
