Marshall Faulk re-ups with the Rams...

http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8228292

Martz has already declared Steven Jackson the starter in 2005, so Faulk gets his salary slashed to remain a Ram RB backup.

"For the first time in four seasons, Orlando Pace will be playing with more than a one-year contract."

Re-up with a 7 year contract!

From "The REAL Feed":

St. Louis Rams to get new playing surface for next NFL season (http://www.canada.com/sports/football/story.html?id=364406e5-3d40-4b70-af71-872d3139781e)
FaceOff: Football (10.05.2005 01:10)
ST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Rams, who have long complained about the rock-hard consistency of their artificial playing surface, are getting a new field next season.

Will it slow them down???  Hard turf may make for black-and-blues, but on softer stuff will they still be able to run their opponents out of their shoes???  ...  There goes Steg flashin' those rhymin' skills yet again... [smiley=jammaster.gif] ... [smiley=awwgee.gif]

NFC West:

Cardinals - The Arizona Cardinals will move into their new state-of-the-art stadium in Glendale for the 2006 NFL Season.  Will host the Superbowl in 2008 - going to grass.

49ers - Play on grass.

Seahawks - Play on natural grass.

Rams - New field surface compared to natural grass.

Guess the rest of the division is very happy.

This report has been topping "The REAL Feed" off-and-on lately.  I finally had to take a look.  It regards WR Isaac Bruce: :-[

Wide receiver held out of minicamp due to abnormality in heart test (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/football/nfl/wires/06/03/2020.ap.fbn.rams.bruce.1st.ld.writethru.0266/index.html)

Yes, he was prett impressive!

But so was Nutten, the Offensive Guard that opened major holes for S-Jax to run through!!! In fact, on his long run in which he burst off the right side - Nutten, the Ram's left guard, pulled on that play and allowed SJ to go untouched through a major hole in the Lion's front-7.

It may end with the skilled players BUT, it all starts with the IOLPs babe-bee!!!!!! (individual offensive line players)

Shameless advertisement for the GirdIron's new & up coming fantasy football article called "Grunt-Ball"! Coming to a Footballer newstand near you! ;D
