Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by StegRock on Aug 4th, 2005, 6:31pm Probably nothing to worry about from a fantasy perspective as missing camp for already solid veteran tailbacks usually isn't a big deal,... but it's worth being apprised of... Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by prm on Aug 7th, 2005, 1:44pm [smiley=coolit.gif]...i believe i wrote on this same subject some time last year - of all positions on the field, the one that requires the least amount of practice time - don't get me wrong- practice is important- is veteran runningback...if anything he's gonna get tired when he comes back because there won't be 11 !@#$ people in the box waiting for him...he's still my keeper this year and a legitimate 1st round pick...and he's still gonna ROCK [smiley=guitar.gif] prm... |

Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by StegRock on Sep 8th, 2005, 5:47am This is my precise concern... From "The REAL Feed": NFL 2005: Ravens have improved, but has Boller? Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by prm on Sep 8th, 2005, 6:15am y'know, i've never thought that anthony wright was all that bad - every time i've seen him play he looked better than boller...what're the odds that if boller comes out of the blocks SUCKIN' ( :o) that he gets the hook & wright becomes a star with all that talent around him??? maybe it's time the coaching staff does what shannahan did and admits - maybe we made a mistake... |

Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by Philly on Sep 8th, 2005, 10:37am C'mon... Boller played relatively well last year with a run-oriented offense and no wideouts to throw to. Let's at least give him a chance with the likes of Mason and Clayton out there. |

Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by DB on Sep 8th, 2005, 10:55am I like Boller's upside, but must admit Wright has always looked a little better (albiet against the 2nd team D in preseason for what's that worth). Billick loves him (Boller) [smiley=gettinridden.gif] and will give him every benefit of the doubt. I heard Billicks press interview this week and it was funny. He went off on the Baltimore Ravens fans for booing Boller and challenged them to make a lot of noise this week when Peyton tries to call plays at the line. Funny stuff. [smiley=laugh.gif] |

Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by StegRock on Sep 10th, 2005, 1:27am Do not bench Jamal. Go with the "always play your studs" theory on this one. Disclaimer: I am not espousing this as an "absolute" rule of thumb. I just think it is the rule to follow in this specific case. Good luck! [smiley=shamrock.gif] |
