Title: Pats/Raiders starters help needed Post by steelkings on Sep 8th, 2005, 11:55am Scoring only! My choice in running back starters are down to 3 players. I can start 2. Dillon against the Rolling Stones is a given. 1. Cory Dillon N.E vs Raiders 2. Lamont (Big Dummy) Jordan Raiders @ N.E 3. (Fast) Willy Parker Pitt VS Tenn Last game for N.E, Billy-check took away the Philly running game and T.O went wild. Does Billy-check do the same with Moss? Does he try and shut down Moss and let Jordan run wild? Tennessee's Run defense is supposed to suck big time. Willy Parker is the feature back this week. No TD vultures in Pittsburgh this week. However, Tennessee has beaten Pittsburgh 10 out of the last 12 meetings. Who will put the ball in the endzone more? Parker or Jordan? |

Title: Re: Pats/Raiders starters help needed Post by captainpurple on Sep 8th, 2005, 11:57am I like Parker. He's not going to lose the goal line carries like Jordan will to Crockett. When OAK gets in the RZ, they've go Moss & Porter, Crockett/Jordan & Jolley. Too many options. When PIT gets in the RZ, they'll feed Parker all day, unless their new TE Miller is a viable threat. I like Parker for this week anyway. |

Title: Re: Pats/Raiders starters help needed Post by DB on Sep 8th, 2005, 12:01pm I would go with Jordan over Parker knowing that he is more of a proven guy and will have at least 20 carries. I expect some catches from Jordan as well. |

Title: Re: Pats/Raiders starters help needed Post by Oakland4life on Sep 8th, 2005, 12:41pm That is a tough call, yea, Parker is going to get the ball quite a bit, but he's not much of a receiving threat as Jordan is. Jordan will definately get some receiving yards tonight, but I doubt it will be in the RZ. Collins RZ pass % really sucks. That's where most of his interceptions occur. Norv is in Love with Crockett who I would really suspect will be getting the ball inside the five. But, if they are outside the five, a PA dumpoff to Jordan up the middle is not out of the question. If your in a TD only league, I would prolly stick with Parker. O4L |

With ya, Raider Nation. I do not think that Jordan will be a big fantasy factor in the passing game tonight. He WILL keep the D honest enough to open up the field for the WRs and will be a big factor in a ball control game in the first half. And Norv says he wants Crockett more involved as an RB (as opposed to so much FB work). As you know, Norv finally discovered Zack late last season. |
