Title: Re: Question for help Post by StegRock on Sep 21st, 2005, 8:13pm I would hold off on the first deal. BUT, I would do the latter deal in a heartbeat. That way at least you know you will get one really solid commodity back, Reggie Wayne, just in case something actually comes of the Larry Johnson "battery" situation, which, by the way, I think will blow over. And, by the way, Davis will probably be in for a long week this week in Miami, so it is a good time to move him. Good luck! [smiley=shamrock.gif] |

Title: Re: Question for help Post by Callie on Sep 21st, 2005, 10:34pm Wait. How many WRs and RBs do you start? If you start 3 WRs and 2 RBs, right now before a trade you have Owens, Coles and Boldin as your starters at WR - and you have Johnson and Davis as starters at RB. After that??? For that matter, do you get points for receptions? Other than that, I'd like to see some reasons for this trade. |

Title: Re: Question for help Post by rickgpin on Sep 21st, 2005, 11:00pm i don't see getting johnson for davis as an upgrade at this point in the season. i like reggie wayne but your current 3 starting receivers are the pretty solid. it appears you are getting a fair deal, but i am not sure you will see a major impact. |

Title: Re: Question for help Post by mcgeeizgod on Sep 22nd, 2005, 2:08am I wouldn't do either trade. Larry Johnson is a risk because unless Priest gets hurt he's still not the starter and you can't expect him to keep performing like he has with the limited amount of touches that he gets. Stephen Davis is in a similar situation but on the other end of the boat in that he is the starter now and he should get 20+ touches per game. I don't think you'd be making enough of an upgrade, if any, in your starting receivers to sacrifice a legit starter and have to start a backup. Owens and Boldin is a very good combo if ya ask me, just gotta give boldin a lil time |

Title: Re: Question for help Post by lumber2121 on Sep 22nd, 2005, 9:09am Don't do it. Johnson is incredibly talented but that means nothing without the opportunity to use that talent. Sure, he is getting some touches, but not enough to trade away a featured back. Meanwhile, Davis is the main guy right now. Also, you do not need Reggie Wayne. Your receivers are very solid. Stallworth is streaky, but the others are pretty strong. Needless to say, Owens, albeirt a steaming d-bag, is a huge asset. |
