One of the owners in my league is interested in trading Culpepper. He would rather start Palmer every week. This owner is looking for RB help and I have Steven Jackson, Kevin Jones, Thomas Jones, J.J. Arrington and Mewelde Moore.

Thomas Jones (or Kevin Jones), Steve McNair and Mewelde Moore

Culpepper, M. Faulk and Portis?

10pts per 25 passing, 10 rushing or 10 receiving.

i don't think theres any way that this guy would trade portis along with culpepper for those guys. portis is his number one back by far and he's probably expecting that he can get another back that is up around portis' level with culpepper. he will probably want steven jackson and moore from you but i wouldn't do it if I were you cuz i think jackson is your most solid back right now and the upgrade from hasselback to culpepper isn't worth it. see if you can get away with offering thomas jones, mewelde moore and mcnair and try to get faulk and brown and culpepper. if he doesnt bite make another offer with k jones instead of t jones. whatever you do i wouldn't rely on a move that requires you to have mewelde moore in your starting lineup, that rb situation is just too shaky.

Agreed on the Vikings front. I was hoping that I could use Moore as a back up or trade bait.

I thought I was being overly optimistic with that offer.

I am starting to think that going after Culpepper is not that worth it considering his tough schedule coming up and that Hasslebeck and McNair are a pretty good one-two punch. I could probably use my depth at running back to upgrade at WR or TE.

Update:

He is mulling over Thomas Jones and Steve McNair for Marshall Faulk and Daunte Culpepper.

I am pretty confident that this is a good deal for me. The only trouble is that he is in my division and I will be helping him out as well. I still think I have to make the move.

Wow. This is a monster deal for you. Faulk really helps you out if Jax can't go this week. And McNair for Pepp :o

Granted, he gets a starting RB, which he really needs, but the upside to your team is huge.

Do it! If he doesn't go for it, though, and you are so in love with Culpepper (I am not), to me the obvious and most direct trade would be Hass for Culpep straight across. That's what I would do if I REALLY liked a player to the degree that you seem you like Culpepper. [smiley=shrug.gif] Good luck! [smiley=shamrock.gif]

Thanks for the advice, fellas.

I really am not that huge a fan of Culpepper. I just think that I am getting a good deal. Additionally, I could always trade Culpepper to upgrade at RB.
