rb dillon,cadillac,j lewis,r williams,taylor
te gates

we start 2 rbs and 3 wrs

i was thinking of trying to get andre johnson.  maybe if i offer a running back. but i jamal is too much at this point and would be surprised if they would go for ricky.   [smiley=rasta.gif]

johnson still has the potential to have a nice season.  remember, rocketed at the end of last season too.

that said, you are definitely giving up value going from either Lewis or Taylor to Johnson.   starting RBs are harder to come by.   if you're ok giving up a little value, go ahead...but you might try to find a team with a bit more value at WR that needs an RB.

just fishing for a down wide receiver with big upside.  i will check my tackle box and recast for a big one. [smiley=fish.gif]

Not too big on Johnson myself AND I don't think you need to be making a trade.  Your team is well-balanced and reasonably-stocked.  BUT, since you ask...  I say give him Lewis and Ricky for Davis and Johnson OR Lewis and Dillon for Edge and Johson.  If you have to pump it up [smiley=pumpedup.gif] a bit to get it done and if he is so predisposed (most people are high on and overvaluing Galloway right now) offer him the upswinging Galloway for Randle El.  Good luck, friend! Will he go for a strait up Johnson-for-Lewis trade? If he does, go for that.

Houston has decided that all of their offensive woes are because of not getting Johnson the ball. He'll get his on Sunday, next week, and for the rest of the season.

Jamal Lewis is probably going to be a bum this year. By bum I mean 800 or so yards and less than six touchdowns. Prison looks like it had a significant impact on him physically.

The diet in a federal penetentiary is specifically designed to be a low-carb, low-protien gruel so that the prisoners don't get too much energy. While we've all heard stories about prisoners lifting weights in the pen, there's nothing that would resemble the high-impact regimen that a professional athlete would need to stay in shape for four months. For an athlete, time in the pen softens the muscle mass on the body, and loosens the tension of the joints.

These factors mean that Jamal Lewis will not have the same power he's had in recent years, the power that has been the keystone to his success. On the other hand, nothing's wrong with Andre Johnson, and his team has promised to get him the ball. Trade for Johnson.

I 100% agree with Steg here!! [smiley=hellyeafunny.gif] Don't fix what aint broken. If you just want to make a trade for trades sake...then go for it.[smiley=gonecrazy.gif] I just don't think it's neccesary.

I do like Johnson though...these past 2 weeks in practice, Carr was throwing the long ball. Seen it with my own two eyes!! [smiley=threed.gif] It WILL happen for him this week if (Big IF)  [smiley=fingerscrossed.gif] the "O" line holds.

thanks for the advice.  just trying to find a way to improve, and i think it is in the wide receiver arena.  not confident in roy williams and galloway.  figure i have surplus in rb, so just trying to use your knowledge to improve my team.  maybe trying to hard, i don't know. [smiley=alcoholic.gif] thanks for the input.

Yes, the Lewis-and-Dillon-for-Owens-and-Moore trade is fair... valuewise...  But, I, again, don't think you need to be making any trades, no less this kind of trade, which leaves you overstocked at WR and, moreover, more importantly, understocked at the all-important position of RB.  I see you just setting yourself up to HAVE TO make another trade down the line to get your RB's back up to snuff.  So, I say don't do it.

As for your D sitch, I would go with Jags at home against the Broncos.  They just seem to be the real deal and they have a good history at home against my Donkeys.  The Bills losing Spikes, on the other hand, is a devastating blow.  I am sorry to say I think their wane to mediocrity has begun.

;)...ok, how 'bout this plan - by everyone's admission you're ok now - wait, let jamal have a good week - this week / next week, jack up his value a bit & then ditch him for a serviceable rb[smiley=hmmmm.gif]...because no matter who they are after moss & owens, wrs are flavor of the week...whadaya think about that plan???good luck anyway, mate...

ouch - this may delay things...Ravens:  Ricard added to injury report...just read this on fanball - apparently re-injured his calf & they may have to go back to using a te...so my last reply may not be as interesting an idea - but maybe still not too bad...we'll see... [smiley=builder.gif]

thanks for all of the thoughtful comments.  plan to stand pat for right now and see how jamal performs. if ricky comes back and is solid i will definitely move a rb to upgrade my receivers.  thanks again.
