I would go with Delhomme, too.  BUT, Favre on a Monday night.  ...  They'll probably end up with similar stats.  Good luck! [smiley=shamrock.gif]

OK...reached back a few weeks for this one in the true spirit of non-proli.....non-pro...non-proliferwhatcha-ma-callit!!! [smiley=shiteatingrin.gif] I need to know who ya'll would go with here in week 9. I've got Favre, coming off his 5 INT performance against the 20th ranked Steelers pass D....or.......Delhomme against the 4th ranked TB pass D? I'm sure you can see my quandary here. This is truly a tough one to call.  [smiley=shrug.gif] I like Favre [smiley=cheesehead.gif] because I don't think he will repeat that performance back-to-back........but I like Delhomme because I can't see him having a 5 INT game in the first place!! Make sense to anyone? ?.?.?

as much as I hate to say it... ;D

Go with Favre.   He's at home, and he's the Alpha and Omega when it comes to Packer offense.  Favre rarely stinks it up at home, so I'd stick with him.

Wow.  You have Brett vs the Steelers, tough WR situation and possible bad weather.  And you have Jake vs the Bucs' pass D, but he has Steve freakin' Smith.

I guess I've gotta go with Captain P's intangibles and would play Favre.  After consulting my gut.

Like I said I have a quandary here!!! I am truly perplexed by this one.  [smiley=shrug.gif] I can usually feel 'em out but not this one!! [smiley=no.gif]

to add confusion to the decision, i like delhomme this week.  steelers will not allow a shoot out in this one.  delhomme and smith are hot hot hot!  i think stats may be similar but the cajun has more upside potential. i'll be cookin up some gumbo this weekend in support. I don't think Favre or TB will come close to repeating "last week". I think Favre will be good and you almost know Delhomme will get 1 to his boy Smith.

I cant diasgree with the feelings by some to go with Favre. I think I'd personally roll with him as I like his chances after his poor effort last week to bounce back.

BUT, if it really comes down to the wire for your decision Favre is on the '05 Packers and Delhomme will almost undoubtedly be at least a SAFE start.

Just my feelings..

Tough call, but I would go with Favre.  This is as close to "pick 'em" as you can get.

This is one of those weeks that you kinda' wish you didn't have an option.  [smiley=doh.gif] I have been racking my brain with this, [smiley=gonecrazy.gif] and probably for no reason. I feel that when it's all said and done they will have close to the same stats anyway. So..........go figure!! [smiley=fireman.gif]

:-/...here's my take - (a). every time i sat jake this year - i got BURNED (@qb)...there has to be that cajun mojo factor goin' on...
(b).  although i asked the same ?? this week - i'm wondering: do you not have to look at past performance and history against a team???...delhomme was over 200+ & at least 1-2 tds both times against the bucs last year - that's enough for me - however, ints being an issue, favre still doesn't have an edge on the cajun there as he's been an int. machine this season...like everyone else says, it's probably a toss-up - but i'm goin' w/ a little of that voodoo magic and thinkin' jake will score more points this week than anyone expects...i hope that helps - it's not scientific, but i'm tired of 2nd guessing myself & being wrong - that's my gut this week...good luck mate,
prm...

I think you got to go with Delhomme here...  Better team, better receivers, hot hand!  I could easily see the Steelers holding Green Bay to less than 10 points, perhaps giving up nothing besides field goals.

Im starting Favre but I have the choice between Brunell or Favre. Brunell didnt score me a single point last week, so I'm going with Favre.

I think he will be back in true form this week against Pitt!

[offtopic]Welcome aboard Brian ! [/offtopic]

Listen to the pit boss (Steg) on this one. Unless Batch puts the Steeler D in bad situations, Farve wont have a great day. The same could be said with Simms and the Buc's.

A sly move might be to pick up Batch on a temp basis and start him here. I have a funny feeling..........

I dont think Delhomme is going to have a huge day today against a very very good Tampa defense.  Tampa Bay's defense is very talented and wont allow Steve Smith to get single coverage like he did last week.

Everytime I have sat Favre this year I have been sorry!

Thanks everyone for your input.....I am no closer to knowing who to start than I was in the beginning [smiley=blush.gif] Favre will be facing 20-30 mph wind gusts today I just read! I am going to flip a coin and live with it..........heads Favre...tales Delhomme................................................................Heads it is!!

BTW.. [smiley=welcome.gif] Brian!
