Title: WDIS in Battle of unbeatens Part 2 Post by MordecaiCourage on Oct 5th, 2005, 11:53am Sorry everybody...please ignore the prior post from today...I jacked it all up somehow Somehow I messed up trying to stay within an earlier thread I started and ended up deleting the initial post. The topic noted was WDIS @ QB in battle of the unbeatens??? 50 lashes with a wet noodle for Mordecai!! [smiley=chair.gif] Need some help with who to start at RB and QB this week. Ronnie Brown at Buf or McGahee at Miami....also Favre or Delhomme? Thanks..I humbly [smiley=blush.gif] bow for any confusion my earlier post may cause. |

Title: Re: WDIS in Battle of unbeatens Part 2 Post by lumber2121 on Oct 5th, 2005, 12:32pm McGahee vs. Miami Favre vs. NO McGahee is strong at home and Favre is going against NO who is fairly prone to giving up passing TDs. |

Title: Re: WDIS in Battle of unbeatens Part 2 Post by StegRock on Oct 5th, 2005, 4:15pm At QB, I would go with Favre vs. New Orleans, for sure. Delhomme has a seemingly good matchup, too, @ Arizona, but I say go with the guy playing at home when all things are roughly equal. At RB, though, I would go with Brown @ Houston over McGahee vs. Miami, and I am NOT a Chris Brown fan as you might know if you hang out here enough. I'm just that fearful of Miami's rush defense. Good luck, whatever you decide, MC! [smiley=shamrock.gif] |

Title: Re: WDIS in Battle of unbeatens Part 2 Post by StegRock on Oct 5th, 2005, 4:54pm My bad, MC... [smiley=doh.gif] I should have picked that off (as well)! [smiley=letsmakeup.gif] In any case,... in that case,... (wasn't that punny? ::) ... ;)) I'm with the woodsman. Go with McGahee (but temper your expectations; 75 and a TD would be a GREAT game)! Best of luck! [smiley=shammy.gif] |

Title: Re: WDIS in Battle of unbeatens Part 2 Post by CoachH on Oct 5th, 2005, 7:37pm MC, Favre seems to be the best choice at QB. I would go with Brown against the Bills for the following reasons: Buffalo has the 31st ranked rush defense. J.P. Lostman is horrid, and the Bills will be playing from behind- limited carries for McGahee. Brown is on a mission to retain the starting job before R. Williams gets back next week. |

Title: Re: WDIS in Battle of unbeatens Part 2 Post by prm on Oct 5th, 2005, 8:44pm :-[...i have to say, if he's playin my saints - start him...although the d has looked better than expected - but not that good...also, i agree - ronnie, like tj in chicago, is hearin' footsteps from inevitable usurpers - it seems that motivation has proven to be good enough for fantasy #s...i'd go w/ brown...and even steg cannot surpass the loathing i have for chris brown...i'm talkin' cut your nose off to spite your face hate...but, [offtopic] [/offtopic] |

I did consider the first and third reasons before I posted...but I didn't really think about the Bills playing from behind theory....hmmmm [smiley=uh.gif] Also I know that Ronnie had a great game before the bye and I think Buffalo is just the recipe he needs for a repeat performance!! Ya'll got the [smiley=fireman.gif] leanin' towards Brown right now. Any thing else ya'll can think about here, please do not hesitate to feed me. [smiley=lickinmychops.gif] |

Title: Re: WDIS in Battle of unbeatens Part 2 Post by lumber2121 on Oct 6th, 2005, 3:34pm According to ESPN, Kelly Holcomb will start this week for the Bills. This may greatly improve the likelihood that the Bills will not be playing from behind. While I am a bit of a homer, I would still go with McGahee. He puts up most of his good numbers at home. Also, the Bills defense has to eventually preform close to expectations. (famous last words, right?) I think the Bills will step it up this week against the 'Phins. Brown is not a horrible option either. It really is a flip of the coin. I am sticking with McGahee. |

Title: Re: WDIS in Battle of unbeatens Part 2 Post by MordecaiCourage on Oct 7th, 2005, 11:33am Currently I have McGahee in there but am leaning to Brown. I don't know why, but this is a really hard call for me!! [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] Any last thoughts from anyone who reads this thread..please respond. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] |
