That is devastating!!! that's gonna leave a mark for someone's team, no doubt!! [smiley=stars.gif] The obvious question here is who is gonna get the carries? Stecker is listed as his back-up but Smith got the carries after he went down. I believe Stecker was listed as Questionable at gametime, so my thoughts are that if healthy...he starts. Can you shed any light on this Callie? [smiley=fireman.gif]

Antowain Smith was picked up for a situation like this, as he's a similar type RB to McAllister. But Smith is not the pass receiver that McAllister is. Some weeks around half of McAllister's yards came from receptions. If you get points for receptions in a league....

I've also read that Stecker would be a change of pace & 3rd down RB and that all this could simply be for now and the Saints could hit the RB market.

Who will have more value, Stecker or Smith? I am first on the waiver wire this week and I would love to add to my stable of running backs.

It seems like Stecker is the more versitile guy but he is banged up with a high ankle injury. I have never been a huge fan of Smith. I am leaning towards Stecker for more of a long term benefit (ie once he is fully healthy).

What do you guys think?

Smith. See above. Also, today the Saints picked up Jesse Chatman from the Dolphins for depth. Keep an eye on Chatman, just in case he starts to look like he could move up the depth chart (although his history would not make me expect that).
