Far-and-away #1) Brad Johnson

Decent runners-up...
#2a) Kurt Warner
#2b) Brooks Bollinger
#2c) Kyle Orton (I just don't like this guy from a fantasy perspective)

#3) Trent Dilfer

#4) Gus Frerotte

#5) Joey Harrington (if it comes to this, consider yourself fried)

Good luck! [smiley=shamrock.gif]

i have palmer on a bye too.  i picked up kelly holcomb...not real excited about that.  i agree that brad johnson is the pick of your litter.  similar to my pickup, i think it is going to be a little dicey!

good luck!

Well, I would actually go for Bollinger for this week ONLY.

Carolina might be a great team, but they are HORRIBLE against the pass.  Brooks looked real good last week coming off the bench and throwing for 2 TD's and over 100 yds. (which is why he is starting this week)

Detroits pass D on the other hand is in the top 10 of the league and their defense is the only reason they have won games this year.

I like to play matchups, Carolina will have the Jets down early, which means they are gonna be passing all day long.  Where as the Lions and Cards game will be a lot more about ball management, and turnovers.  Which usually results in a lot more running plays.

Just my 2 bits.

I have the same problem in one of my leagues. I picked up Simms.

I would not go with Johnson, as the NYG defense has held the last 2 opponents to under 150 yards. I'd go w/Warner or Bollinger, 50-50.

I like Warner by a nose over Johnson, only because the NYG Defense has been tough as of late against the pass. [smiley=fireman.gif]

Hate to beg to differ here with ya, brother Jim,... BUT, even though I really like Bollinger (got him in the GBRFL; picked him up the first time last year, for goodness sake) and think he has a future in the NFL, I evidently do not see as much promise for him this week against the Panthers in Carolina as you do.  Garbage time (and one lucky, early TD completion) aside, did you not see what they did to Simms last week in Tampa?  I don't give a rat's ass what the rankings might indicate, I think they got a fine pass D, one that will give Bollinger fits, at any rate. I think everyone missed it. I'd (for one week only) would go with Gus Forgot. He's playing against a team that starts corners that have been cut by everyone else. The Patriot D is horrid. The are missing anyone who can pressure the QB. They are coming off getting toasted on Monday Nite. They are playing at Miami. I think Forgot could be a high light in this one.

He will be a Steelking "Primed Player for week (9?)

Frerotte
Warner
Johnson
Holcomb

That is my ranking, but there are all about the same.  This a tough pick...a very tough pick.  They are all so close.  Go with Frerotte.  I agree with Steelking.  The Patriots pass defense is weak.  Holcomb completed 20 of 33 for 263 yards, a touchdown and an interception against the Patriots.  This was the first decent passing day the Bills had in some time.  If the Bills can do it, the Dolphins can.

Frerotte, by a nose.
