Title: QB WDIS For The Playoffs Post by BarnabyWilde on Dec 19th, 2005, 11:49pm What a week to have QB issues. Here are my choices: Favre vs. Chicago Boller vs Minny Eli Manning @ Washington I think Boller, after tonight, is my best play. I can believe how bad Favre and the GB offense has been the last 3 weeks. Eli scares me each and every week. I start him, he sucks. I sit him, he does decent. Boller looked like the fricking league MVP vs the Pack tonight, but can I really trust him to do it again next week vs the Vikings, who are fighting for a playoff spot? Probably not. Man, I'd love for Bulger to come back this week!! That would solve my problem. |

Title: Re: QB WDIS For The Playoffs Post by Oakland4life on Dec 20th, 2005, 12:51am Boller looked good tonight. I also suggested starting him to my buddy who has Peyton Manning. He will be playing at home again next week. And it will be a late game on Christmas. (once again, in the spotlight) He has really stunk it up as of late. But I really think all he needed was a little bit of self confidence and some support from his team. You know he'll be getting all the support he needs next week. I am right with ya on Eli as I also own him. Washington destroyed Bledsoe this week and will be looking to do the same thing next week. Eli REALLY sucks when the pocket collapses. So I wouldn't suggest starting him. Favre against the bears is a tough call. He is playing at home, and you know the temp will be sub-zero. We all know his record at home when the temperatures are below zero. Only problem. Chicago is pretty freakn cold too. So they know how to play in the cold. And Rex Grossman (for god only knows why) seems to have boosted the team to the next level. I wouldn't suggest Favre either. It's really tough putting a virtually untested guy for the semi-final matchup. But, I actually think your best bet would be to go with Boller. O4L |

Title: Re: QB WDIS For The Playoffs Post by StegRock on Dec 20th, 2005, 3:47am Yikes, Jimbo! You've sure got some bad choices there. I am only going to solidify your thinking and go along with O4l and say to go with Boller, too. This is based on matchup alone, and that is NOT at all to say that he has a good matchup. He doesn't. But, it's the best of those three and he is home. Gooooood luck! [smiley=shamrock.gif] You need it at this position, Jim! [smiley=fingerscrossed.gif] |

I didn't think Brunell was one of the choices???? If he is then yes...however, I'd go with Manning here. I just don't see Boller as anything other than a fluke last week...it was a snowball that rolled into an avalanche, nothing more. All QB's have a game like that from time to time. |

Title: Re: QB WDIS For The Playoffs Post by BarnabyWilde on Dec 26th, 2005, 12:04pm Well, Brunell was on fire until Grieson knocked him out of the game...man, I lose my QFL playoffs due to my own favorite team! And I would have won with Boller. :( Oh well. |
