If the way the season played out last year stays through the offseason, Losman will be keeping the bench warm while Holcomb is the starter. Losman was dreadful while Holcomb was decent. (I personally don't think either of them is anything to brag about) |

Title: Re: Bills Offseason Report Post by DevinM on Feb 15th, 2006, 1:24pm Neither of them are but for all intensive purposes, Losman as playing his rookie year (his actual rookie year he was sidleined with a broken leg most the season). Almost every game after the KC game he improved, the Chargers game he was about the only bright spot. A lot of it has to do with inept coaching. While the kid is certainly no allstar, a lot of young QB's (Eli Manning anyone) have crappy first years. |

Title: Re: Bills Offseason Report Post by DB on Aug 15th, 2006, 11:54am Losman now being the front runner is no surprise to me. Not that I think he will be a huge fantasy factor this year, but I do think he has a pretty bright future. In fact, even though Holcomb started the first preseason game, I believe the coach did that because he did not want Losman's confidence shattered early by the Panthers' stellar "D". It was better for him to come in and do well against the back-ups, which he did. Also, I could not understand the commentators who did the highlights on ESPN and NFL Network who said that Holcomb sucked and Losman did not fare any better. In fact, Losman started off slow, then moved the team down the field several times. The bottom line is that I like having him in a keeper league and think that he will begin to blossom this year. I don't understand why also the reviews and magazines say he sucks based on last year when he had no experience and was expected to win. Granted, he is no E. Manning and maybe no P. Rivers, but in time he will be pretty good. |
