Title: Re: Falcons In-season Report Post by StegRock on Jan 2nd, 2007, 5:06pm Is it me or shouldn't the Falcons consider Denny Green? Remember what he did for the later Randall Cunningham and Daunte Culpepper in Minnesota. With Vick he'd have a hybrid of sorts of the two. I don't care what he did or didn't do in Arizona. It's all about the right fit, and it seems to me that Green and Vick could be the right fit. I heard rumors of Steve Mariucci... I like Mooch, but... [smiley=loudnclear.gif]NOOOOO!!! Enough of trying to fit Vick into a west-coast style system. [smiley=nono.gif] He's got too strong of an arm and he's, oddly enough to say, too good of a runner for that. He needs to be in a system where he, on any given play, either winds up and heaves it or takes off and runs it. I also think Green, as a bit of a father figure, could do a lot for Vick's character issues,... something a baby-faced Mora could not do/couldn't be expected to do. |

Title: Re: Falcons In-season Report Post by Philly on Jan 2nd, 2007, 10:07pm The Falcons need to go to the college ranks and grab Rich Rodriguez from WVU. Imagine Pat White-Steve Slaton in the form of Michael Vick-(Warrick Dunn/Jerious Norwood). That would be fun to watch. But I agree with you. Vick cannot/will not succeed in the WCO. The Falcons could do a lot worse than Denny Green. However Green did deserve to get the pink slip after failing to lift Arizona up with all the talent they have. |

Title: Re: Falcons In-season Report Post by StegRock on Feb 4th, 2007, 3:50am Interesting development... Brought to you via "the Gridiron Newsstand": "Falcons' Petrino: Vick allowed to call plays (http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/ATL/9971361)" Look,... I think at this point any change is good, moreover, one that puts the ball "more" in Vick's hands, so to speak. Like I've stated above, I think Vick just needs more leeway to do "his thang"...
