Title: Trading RBs for WRs...your thoughts wanted Post by YesMan on Sep 17th, 2006, 12:10am I would like your opinion. RBs are king in my league. Good ones are hard to come by. There are two groups of WRs: Top-10 studs and everyone else. The 'everyone else' group is fairly easy to expolit on the waiver wire. But to trade for a Top-10, the other owners expect a top RB. All that said, we start the standard 8 (no flex) and use standard scoring plus yardage bonuses. I drafted 'extra' RBs to make a trade for my #2 WR. Now I want your thoughts on who I can get in return. WHAT WRs SHOULD I TRAGET IN A TRADE FOR EITHER: TATUM BELL OR KEVIN JONES OR WILLIE PARKER? My team: QB - Bledsoe, Brooks, Brunell RB - Tomlinson, W. Parker, K. Jones, T. Bell, Buckhalter, Cedrick Benson and M. Turner WR - Plaxico, Engram, Braylon Edwards TE - Gates K - J. Brown D - Ravens. I'm 1-0 looking to go 2-0 without hurting my team long term. ARE YOU IN A SIMILAR SITUATION? IF SO, MAYBE WE CAN HELP. ONE GOOD TRADE CAN PUT YOU OVER THE HUMP AND ONE BAD TRADE AND YOU WILL KICK YOURSELF FOR 16 WEEKS. Thank you in advance. YesMan - yesmanning@hotmail.com |

Title: Re: Deal or No Deal...T. Bell for M. Muhammad? Post by Walker Boh on Sep 17th, 2006, 1:37am [smiley=cheers.gif] Welcome to the Gridiron! [smiley=cheers.gif] I agree that your team is weak at WR, but I don't think this is a good deal for you, especially after Bell's week one performance. If Bell does it again this week, you should get a lot more value. Also, don't fall in love with Muhammad just yet. Last week was his first 100 yard game as a Bear, and it came against one of the worst teams in the NFL. Be patient. Good luck. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] |

Title: Re: Deal or No Deal...T. Bell for M. Muhammad? Post by StegRock on Sep 17th, 2006, 6:00am First and foremost, let me second that [smiley=welcome.gif] of WB's!!! Enjoy the site! We've got a FANTASTIC bunch... Become a part of it! As for your sitch,... well,... I am in 100% agreement with WB. There is NO WAY you make this deal. Yes, a WR-for-RB deal is what makes sense for your squad, for sure, but as of right now T. Bell is the starter in Denver. He's at least gonna get his 1,000 yards and 6 touchdowns. Muhammad will probably end up around the same in receiving. So, as such, just given the old "RB over WR" reasoning, which is absolutely correct, you don't do this deal. But, I even think with the upswing of Bell right now and the cap for Muhammad, it could work out A LOT worse, and, mind you, as people can tell you around here, I'm NOT a big T. Bell fan and I, in fact, have Muhammad in the GBRFL, so here I'm going totally "against" any biases I might be inclined to have. For T. Bell you should be getting at least a Plaxico Burress- or Chris Chambers-quality receiver. Hell, I would trade Kevin Jones for Muhammad before I'd move Bell right now. I wouldn't even do that, though, because right now Jones's value is at an all-time low. Like WB said,... be patient. [smiley=zenmaster.gif] [offtopic]Also, Mr. YesMan, we try to keep thread proliferation at a minimum. I'd REALLY appreciate it if you renamed this thread and for this season continued to use this thread as your general "trade help" thread as opposed to making a new one every time you come with a "trade help" question. Thank you for your anticipated understanding and cooperation! [smiley=bow.gif][/offtopic] |
