Title: Larsen's Help Thread Post by Larsen89 on Oct 31st, 2006, 7:05pm I wasn't sure if I should have started a new thread with this, but I was looking for some input, faaaasstttt!!! I have been offered: QB Tony Romo RB Cadillac Williams for QB Matt Leinart RB Lawrence Maroney I'm a Minnesota guy, I love Maroney, it's going to be very hard for me to give him up ( I also have Marion Barber, G O P H E R S !!! , ok, I know they suck now) But my QB situation is in shambles. I have at QB..... Hasselbeck [smiley=injury.gif] Plummer (when does he get pulled? Steg?????) [smiley=idontknow.gif] Gradkowski (sucks!!!!) [smiley=loser.gif] Leinart (off this week, GREAT game buddy last week) [smiley=silence.gif] I have at RB..... Tomlinson [smiley=bow.gif] Maroney M. Barber D. Williams Norwood I have been [smiley=pray.gif]ALL YEAR, that Julius Jones or Corey Dillon OR D. Foster would get hurt, it's not happening. I like Romo a lot, but do I give up Maroney to get Romo and the Cadillac..... Quick!!!!!!!! Before he pulls the offer. |

Title: Re: Trade help? Post by Callie on Oct 31st, 2006, 8:34pm If this is a redraft league, Caddy has a tough schedule ahead. Maroney's is much softer, and Dillon could go down. Romo has the better schedule by a bit, but will D's watch film and learn how to defend him better after a couple more games? With his receiving corps, he can afford a few mistakes. But he's raw. I don't like this trade. Almost forgot to mention that you have LT2 and T. Barber to cover bases at RB (start 2?). You just have to worry about what QB to start in Week 9, when Romo plays Washington's lousey pass D. I think the guy is trying to play on this to get the trade for the rest of the season. It looks like his real target is Maroney. |

Title: Re: Trade help? Post by Larsen89 on Oct 31st, 2006, 9:00pm This is not a keeper league. And I have Marion Barber, not Tiki. |

Title: Re: Trade help? Post by Philly on Oct 31st, 2006, 10:19pm I wouldn't do it. There's no guarantee that Parcells sticks with Romo the rest of the way. If he stinks it up, we could see Bledsoe again. Leinart, on the other hand, is in for the long haul. As for the Maroney/Caddy Williams part of the trade, I think you're in better shape with Maroney anyway. |

Sorry. My goof up. And no change to my disliking the trade. However, I wish you did own Tiki! ;D |

Title: Re: Trade help? Post by StegRock on Nov 4th, 2006, 11:26am Larsman,... first off, [smiley=builder.gif] you are good to go with your thread here... Just, please, continue to use it as your "trade help" thread for the rest of this season. Thanks for mentioning that, though! [smiley=bow.gif] Much appreciated! As for the trade you've been offered, I either hope you have laid or encourage you to lay off it. Just throw in Plummer or whomever this week to tide yourself over. Leinart will be back, and I just have a feeling that after the bye-week, he's gonna come out swingin'. [smiley=boxer.gif] I like him more than Romo... even if just by a little, and I like Maroney more than Caddy. I would not do this trade. I'd sit tight, bro. [smiley=yes.gif] |

Title: Re: Trade help? Post by Larsen89 on Nov 4th, 2006, 9:05pm Thanks for everyone's input, I did not go with it, it was just a "heart" "instinct" feeling. As tempted as I was!!! I just couldn't give up Maroney. |

Title: Fantasy QB Lineup (help?) Post by Larsen89 on Nov 12th, 2006, 8:48am Week 10: What's some consensus of starting either; Jake Plummer on the road against Oakland or Matt Leinert at home against Dallas. Raiders have the 2nd ranked pass defense Cowboys have the 9th ranked pass defense. Cardinals getting Fitzgerald back this week. Who do you guys like and why? This is a VERY crucial week with playoffs luming. |

Title: Re: Trade help? Post by StegRock on Nov 12th, 2006, 9:08am I'd roll with Leinart this week comin' off a bye and gettin' Fitz back and, furthermore, with Jake likely sooner than later in today's game becoming a mere game manager. Leinart will, at least, be flingin' it to the (likely) bitter end. |

Title: Re: Trade help? Post by Larsen89 on Nov 24th, 2006, 6:05pm How can I rename this thread, it really doesn't retain to "Trade Help" anymore? I'd rather it just be "Larsen's Help Page" Ok, I can't even fathom to explain of how big of a week this is with playoffs on the line, I can't afford to screw this one up!!!!!! My QB situation for Thanksgiving Weekend.... I have Trent Green - He would have gotten me 7 pts (that worked out keeping him on the bench) Jake Plummer - He would have gotten me 13 pts (and keeping him on the bench I believe worked) Matt Leinert - Going against my poorest Vikings!! :-/ Matt Hasselbeck - Going against a poor GB pass Def. and it's his first game back. Who do you like Leinert or Hasselbeck? I like Leinert against the Vikes because I don't think they will be able to run the ball, I am VERY leary of Hasselbeck being his first game back, but he could torch the Pack if he's upright?????? HELP!!!! INPUT!!!! |

Title: Re: Trade help? Post by rickgpin on Nov 24th, 2006, 8:49pm i think it is kind of a tossup. Hasselbeck in a groove is a must start. but, coming off an injury i might try to wait one more week. vikings pass defense is awful. i think i would give Leinart a go. good luck with your decision. Title: Re: Trade help? Post by Philly on Nov 24th, 2006, 10:11pm Hasselbeck was pretty much ready to play last week, but Seattle held him out just as a precaution. I'd go ahead and start him this week. As was mentioned, the Green Bay secondary is a joke. You want proof? Click HERE (http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/pointsagainst?positionId=1) for a list of how each team does against different positions. You'll notice that when it comes to QBs and WRs, Green Bay gives up more fantasy points than any other team. Leinart is in a tough situation. The team has given up because they realize that Dennis Green is a lame duck. Leinart has been trying to fire up the troops, but it hasn't been very effective. In his last 4 games (after the tough loss to Chicago), Leinart has thrown 2 TDs and 5 INTs. He had an OK game against Detroit, but the rest were awful. Minnesota has a decent defense and should be able to get after him up front. I'd stay away from him this week. |

I went ahead and did it for you this time, Larsman. All you have to is look up to the upper right-hand corner of your initial post of this thread and click "Modify" (you also could just do a "Find" for the word "modify" in your browser and it will highlight it). On that "Modify" page, you can just go ahead and change the "Subject" line. That will change the "Re:" for all posts henceforth as you can see for this very post (which, mind you, can also be manually modified on a per post basis, but that's besides "this" point). :) |
