Title: Packers In-season Report
Post by StegRock on Sep 6th, 2007, 5:15am
In an 11th-hour decision, it looks like Morency is getting pulled from the starting lineup in favor of the rook... according to "The REAL Feed":

Rookie RB Jackson likely to start Packers' opener against Eagles (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/wires/09/05/2020.ap.fbn.packers.jackson.1st.ld.writethru.0742/index.html)

And, yet another tailback reenters the Packers' fray... according to "The REAL Feed":

NFL report: Vernand Morency ready to go for Green Bay Packers (http://www.twincities.com/vikings/ci_7031611?nclick_check=1)
St. Paul Pioneer Press: Football (29.09.2007 23:22)
Vernand Morency is eager to make his belated season debut at running back Sunday for the Green Bay Packers.

I would advise staying away from the whole ball of wax,... especially this week against a stout Minnesota rush defense.

To reiterate, one back OUT; the residual effects, another one IN, and a once hopeful wide receiver BACK...  ALL from "The REAL Feed":

Wynn to IR; Koren Robinson activated by Packers (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/wires/10/30/2020.ap.fbn.packers.wynn.injured.0513/index.html)

Besides Favre's heroics, Packers may have found missing run game (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/wires/10/30/2020.ap.fbn.winning.packers.0773/index.html)

Wynn definitely blew his chance... :-/ As for Grant, try to avoid falling victim to the hype. [smiley=nownow.gif] He went up against one of the worst run defenses in the league.  If he is available in your league, OF COURSE, he is the pickup this week.  BUT, don't go penciling him in yet as the next coming of Dorsey Levens.  As for old Koren Robinson,... who knows? [smiley=shrug.gif] As far as I am concerned, he is NOT a fantasy factor until he shows something.

[smiley=bullseye.gif] Although he is a bit intriging(sp?) to me...I fell for the Koren hype when he first had his flash of what could be....show ME something first Koren!!

Favre to make speedy recovery... according to "The REAL Feed":

Packers expect Favre to recover in time to keep streak alive (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/wires/11/30/2020.ap.fbn.packers.favre.2nd.ld.writethru.0808/index.html) [smiley=ohshit.gif]
