Title: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by Oakland4life on Sep 12th, 2007, 10:41pm Here is my team: *edit Scoring: 6pt. All TD's, 1pt 10 yds rush/rec 1pt. every reception. 5pt bonus 300/100 Must start QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE and flex TE/WR, DEF, PK and ST QB- D. Mcnabb RB- LT2, R. Brown, J. Jones, Selvin Young WR- Ocho Cinco , G. Jennings, K. Curtis, D. Bowe, S. Mcdonald TE- T. Gonzalez K Shayne Graham Def- Jaguars ST Bears Im curious if I should try and deal out A. Peterson or R. Brown for another #1 receiver. Im not sure what I'll get for Brown, but Im sure I could get a stud receiver with Peterson's performance last week. Do you think that Peterson will last the season without getting hurt? Let me know what ya'll think please. Thank you ;D |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by captainpurple on Sep 13th, 2007, 1:12am without the league specifics (how many do you start? scoring?) i'd have to say no. you need AP. Ronnie is on a terrible team offensively. When Green gets pulled for Beck (I predict week 6), defenses will be blitzing him and stacking the box against Brown. You'll be stuck with him and/or Williams to start and that's not going to be very good. WR-wise, I think you're OK. Granted, #85 is your only #1, but Curtis and Jennings are servicable guys. I'd look at dropping MLewis for another speculative WR. I think you just get too weak at RB if you trade AP |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by StegRock on Sep 13th, 2007, 3:14am Mmmmm... I'd consider moving Brown for a Plaxico Burress- or Darrell Jackson-level receiver (and, depending on exactly who you can get, perhaps a little sweetener). [smiley=shrug.gif] |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by MordecaiCourage on Sep 13th, 2007, 4:47pm McNabb, Alexander, Peterson, Johnson, Jennings(check inj report), Gonzalez and Curtis at flex. This is a timing deal for me!! I'd keep Brown for now and drop Lewis or maybe even Bowe for another servicable WR. The thing on Bowe is that with KC possibly being as crappy as they appear to be, would you really want to start Gonzo and Bowe the same week? My bet is that more times than not, Gonzo will outscore Bowe. I usually never start 2 guys from the same team if the team sucks...you may find yourself with two starters with 5 points between them..ouch! Wait on Brown to have a big game and deal him to the guy who has RB problems and a stud WR to give. Look around your league..you can probably spot the guy now. ;D |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by Oakland4life on Sep 13th, 2007, 9:35pm Thanks for the input guys!! ;D I really haven't considered Bowe at all. I'm just keeping him around incase he blows up in the next couple of weeks and I have him. With Kennisons' injury, he will have more opportunities to touch the ball. And he is a pretty good rookie prospect. And my take on it is that if the Chiefs really DO stink it up this year. That probably means that L.J. will be the one that suffers the most and they will be forced to throw the ball for more than half of each game. So, I guess I'll just wait it out a couple more weeks and see how each of them perform. Hopefully Del Rio pulls his head out of his ass and realizes that Williams is clearly the better back and I won't feel so bad to deal away one of my RB's. I just hope that my WR's can step up their games. Thanks again!!! |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by Oakland4life on Sep 28th, 2007, 12:22am After last weeks performance by Ronnie Brown (thanks again for all the advice [smiley=thumbsup.gif] ) I think I'll be keeping him for a while, LOL. Anywho, I may be talking apples and oranges here, but I'm having a tough time deciding to start either Greg Jennings or Shaun McDonald. Both have tough matchups in Minnesota and Chicago. I'm leaning towards Jennings, but the Lions could be down early? Your thoughts would help me greatly ;D |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by MordecaiCourage on Sep 28th, 2007, 12:52am Toss a coin, I think it's really that close. If I had to pick one I'd say Jennings by a hair......but then again??????? |

With Calvin Johnson being day-to-day, I would go with McDonald over Jennings. The problem with Green Bay is that you never know what you are going to get from those WR. |

[smiley=hmmmm.gif] no way can you consider the Viking D a tough matchup for Jennings. The Vikings will almost surely stuff Wynn/Jackson, and Farte will be throwing 40-45 times in this one. Driver, Jennings and Lee all make nice starts in this one. I assume you noticed who Bowe blew up on last week? Cedric Griffin, #23. Want 1 guess as to who probably gets Jennings most of the game this week? Yup, #23. Winfield will take Driver. they may line Driver up on Griffin's side a couple times, but I'm pretty sure the Vikings will roll help to Griffin's side in that case. Go with Jennings! |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by Oakland4life on Oct 12th, 2007, 10:04pm Ok, I have already made the trade, and not REALLY having buyers remorse. But, I am just looking for some feedback to see if I have made the right decision. The owner of LT2 made a trade that left him VERY weak in the RB department. I therefore, offered him S. Alexander and A. Peterson for LT2. He accepted IMMEDIATELY. I think I made a fair deal, but am a little curious as to why he was SO eager to get rid of LT2. I am still pretty good at RB position (once Henry gets suspended) with Julius Jones and Selvin Young and Ronnie Brown. Did I make a stupid trade? [smiley=shrug.gif] Thoughts? Thanks |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by Chumpzilla on Oct 12th, 2007, 11:39pm I think this is a great deal for you with your RB's. The other owner may have accepted quickly because they didn't have depth??? |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by captainpurple on Oct 13th, 2007, 12:10am with the 100 yds bonus, I think AP and SA have a slightly higher value than LT2...even with the PPR. But it's only slightly. And with Ronnie Brown and Julius Jones, you're plenty deep. It's a decent deal for you...no worries! well, maybe 1 slight worry...that Lemon can have some success so Ronnie isn't facing 8-9 guys in the box....aka AP! :'( |

Title: Re: O4L's WDIS and Trade thread Post by Oakland4life on Oct 13th, 2007, 1:00am Yea, the previous LT2 owner traded away Edgerin for Reggie Wayne. In itself isn't bad, BUT that ONLY left him LT2 and Leo Washington!! I saw his weakness and POUNCED!!! Thanks for the encouragement, I figured he would take the deal, but it only took him minutes after my offer, so was a bit leary if I gave too much. Thanks [smiley=thumbsup.gif] |
