Title: Steelers In-season Report
Post by bgsgfan on Sep 23rd, 2007, 11:04am
Ok, I got to this through The Newsstand: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07265/819761-66.stm.

Quote:
Rookie tight end Matt Spaeth (quad contusion) did not practice for the third consecutive day and will not play tomorrow against the San Francisco 49ers at Heinz Field.

This has to push up Heath Miller's value with Big Ben looking at his TEs in the endzone the way he has been.

Unless its just flat out postering, Troy Polamlu said on a radio interview today that he will not play Sunday against the Seahags. He said his type of cartilige injury could become much worse if not given the proper time to heal. He said he should be fine after the week 6 bye week.

Pregame hamstring injury to Holmes costs him the game today... according to "The REAL Feed":

Steelers' Holmes leaves with injury (http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c=sportsnetwork&page=/nfl/news/ABN4106510.htm)
The Sports Network: NFL (07.10.2007 13:49)

Regardless of the fact that the reports says he went out in the first quarter, the injury occurred during pregame warmups.  I'm watching the game.
