Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by StegRock on Apr 17th, 2008, 4:26pm From "The REAL Feed",... the end of an era... Ravens' McNair retires after 13 seasons (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/nfl/wires/04/17/2020.ap.fbn.ravens.mcnair.retires.2nd.ld.writethru.1111/index.html) SI.com: NFL (17.04.2008 15:25) Unlike I would say for Favre, for Stevie Mac it was time... Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by StegRock on May 10th, 2008, 4:37am Add another to that aforementioned QB competition... according to "The REAL Feed (http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/newsstand.htm)": Rookie QB Joe Flacco impresses Ravens (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/2008/05/09/2008-05-09_rookie_qb_joe_flacco_impresses_ravens_in.html) New York Daily News: Sports - Football (10.05.2008 00:55) Joe Flacco, the 6-6 rookie from the University of Delaware and Audubon, N.J., set out to prove he's worthy of being the 18th pick (Baltimore) in the NFL draft and capable of starting in his first season. |

Title: Re: Ravens Offseason Report Post by Callie on May 10th, 2008, 8:13pm Flacco is good potential, but he's a project in a tough division and with a tough, complicated playbook to learn. I think Smith or Boller start the season, then whichever one doesn't start takes over - unless the first one looks good - and if all else fails Flacco gets thrown to the wolves mid-season or later for "experience." That would be a bad decision for Flacco's future, and I don't think Cam is that dumb. At least that's what I hope will happen, for Flacco's sake. |
