Seahawks sign RB T.J. Duckett

Running back T.J. Duckett has reached an agreement with the Seattle Seahawks, according to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network.

The Seahawks tried to sign him last year, but he chose to go to Detroit. His presence will give the Seahawks a solid short-yardage option at tailback and he can also play some fullback.

Wow... what a mess of a RB situation in Seattle now. I kinda figured they'd just keep going with Alexander and Morris and draft either Stewart or Mendenhall in the first round.

It looks like Alexander is gone.  I would not be surprised to see Morris go as well.  With the money they gave Duckett and Jones, it seems that will be there 1-2 punch, with Duckett being the short yardage back.

Just two seasons after signing one of the biggest running back contracts in NFL history, the Seahawks...

I wonder whether or not he will pop up anywhere... and be effective...  Detroit??? [smiley=idontknow.gif]

Update on Hasselbeck's back stiffness... from "The REAL Feed":

Hasselbeck back to limited practicing (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/nfl/wires/08/14/2020.ap.fbn.seahawks.hasselbeck.0164/index.html)

I think the commentary on Frye and Wallace at the tail-end of this piece is actually the most intriguing part, in a few different ways.
