Bills backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will make his second straight start this weekend while Trent Edwards continues to recover from a concussion.


A large support is starting to brew for Fitzpatrick in Buffalo.  While his play has not been outstanding by any means, he is managing the games.  And more importantly, he is NOT losing the games by making dumb mistakes.  He plays into the Bills strength, which is the running game.  

If the Bills somehow manage to beat Houston, then I believe Buffalo will keep Fitzpatrick as a starter.

This article supports my above post that a QB controversy is brewing in Buffalo..... The old ball coach will not confirm Edwards will get his job back.

And, he'll still be a journeyman with weak stats leading an atrocious offense and, ultimately, be a fantasy non-factor, especially now with all the bye weeks behind us, who will be replaced at or by year's end.  Now, is he worth picking up here late in the season as injury insurance?  If you field two starting quarterbacks in your league, sure.  BUT, that doesn't mean he really has any value.  From here on out, if you have to start Fitzpatrick, you're in trouble, and in terms of deep keeper leagues the guy really has no value looking to next year.  This is bigger news for Edwards owners who now have to resign themselves to the team's having given up on him and the beginning of his downward spiral in the league.
