Title: Week 1 GBRFL Transactions
Post by StegRock on Sep 5th, 2002, 11:08pm
For those FF analysts out there, the GBRFL (http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/) transactions for Week 1 are in. ;D Check 'em out if you have the time and give us your take.  They are located at:

http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/gbrfl/transactions.htm!

There are a couple HUGE surprises that those savvy fantasy footballers with a keen eye should notice.  The scoring structure is basically total performance counting both TD's and yardage roughly equally.  A starting lineup is comprised of 2 QB's, 3 RB's, 3 RC's (including TE's if you want one), 1 PK and 1 D/ST.

Fire away! [smiley=wagingwar.gif]

We, [smiley=beatnik.gif] [smiley=headbanger.gif] [smiley=pimpin.gif] [smiley=rasta.gif] [smiley=smileytrash.gif] [smiley=spcartman.gif] [smiley=spstan.gif] [smiley=spkyle.gif] [smiley=spkenny.gif] [smiley=spchef.gif], are waiting on bated breath to hear your word.

Thanks!

Oronde Gadsen is a pretty nice free agent pickup.

Jay,

He was a drop! ???

But, anyway, thank you for responding.  I know this is one of these ::) kinds of threads.  That having been said, if other dudes can ask about opinions on their teams/leagues, I sure as hell should be allowed to for the GBRFL which is splattered on this forum and a significant reason why this forum even exists.

Anybody else willing to step up to the plate?

I got excited about Troy Edwards when I first heard about the move... scurried to my teams' sites and picked him up in 2 deep leagues. Then I thought about it and dropped him.  He will get dropped in this league also (unless at least one more St Louis WR gets injured).

Peete is another guy who will be dropped.  I am not sure if the future is Weinke or the rookie, but its not Peete, and its going to come quickly - by week 3 I predict.

Agreed!  Peete is a place-holder for maybe a few weeks, maybe a few more than three, though, if he manages to stay healthy.  He always was junk, at any rate.  How he will perform will be reminiscent of Harbaugh in San Diego or Tomszak in Pittsburgh or Mitchell in Cincinnati...  Yuck! [smiley=downthetubes.gif] The message icon I chose is how Peete will look when he sees that live NFL rush coming at him... and this is how he will look afterwards... [smiley=rollinwithlaughter.gif] ...that won't be "rollin' with laughter", though, more like "writhing in pain"!

I hate to say this, because it looks like I am sucking up :-X , but the Thompson and Morgan pickups were the 2 best in the entire week.

Indeed, indeed!  Yummalicious! [smiley=lickinmychops.gif]

Anyway, thanks for actually taking the time to drop by.  Much appreciated, bg...  [smiley=smileythumbsup.gif]

Unfortunately, I am going to drop one of two this week, that one being to last year's last place team! :-[ But, the win will come over Dirk here!

The Morgan and Thompson picks were the 2 best so far. We need to see the next 4-6 weeks. Some guys come out running and get hurt, hit the wall in weeks 10-12. They both look go so far.

Correct - TEs not required in that league.

Tes yds and Catches are = to WRs #s. Really only Tony G and Pollard last yr even made it in the top 30 overall and thus would not be considered starters on most teams. I traded Tony G away during the offseason to STEGE.
